Great product.
Works great. Careful where you put it. Be prepared for a strong reactiviation when you shower after your ride!

Smells great, works as you’d expect.
The good: this embrocation smells really good (peppermint, clove, and anise) and it’s more waxy than oily or ‘greasy’ like some others I’ve used. The (potentially) bad: it has a definite reddish-orange color when applied to the skin and I can see how it would stain lighter-colored clothing. This is a non-issue for me, since all of my winter bibs are black and I’ve had no noticeable issues with it in the laundry - but something to keep in mind.As for the ‘heat’ level? ‘Medium’ is accurate - but I guess perception might vary from one person to the next. I typically only use products like this on days when the temperature is near (or below) freezing, applying it under winter tights. There’s an initial ‘burn’ right after applying that fades into a nice warming sensation during the ride. I’ve been applying it very lightly so far (since it’s my first time using this formula), but I may increase the amount for really cold rides. Like most embrocation, I don’t really notice it much while riding - but a nice warming sensation returns whenever I slow or stop.As with others, there’s also that HOT feeling in a post-ride shower that lingers awhile even after washing it off - but I don’t mind this at all, personally.YMMV

It works.......But!
I really wanted to like this stuff. First of all it does work. I found the medium to be comfortable down to about 40 degrees. It didn't feel the way I thought it would, when I put it on my legs (make sure you put your shorts on first, don't ask how I know that) I didn't feel any warming action at all. But when I got on the bike and rode off my legs just didn't get cold. That part I really liked. If I were racing or doing an event where I didn't want the extra clothing it would be great. Just make sure you don't wreck because I don't think you want this in a cut. So why 4 stars if it works? It is greasy and road grime sticks to your legs. I got home and it looked like I just finished Paris Roubaix. Secondly, you have to be very careful not to get it in the wrong spots. IE, if you had some on your hand and accidentally rubbed your eyes. With all the care you have to take I think I'll just stick with leg warmers. In summary, it does work but it's use would be limited in my world

My first go around with embrocation and I like this product. Great smell, appropriate heat index.

Didn't work for me
I tried this during a week in the Dolomites in September. Temps ranged from 40' s to 60's. It didn't start working until the 60 degree sun started to hit my skin. At that point my legs were burning hot! Maybe it's just my skin type but pretty useless for me. It does smell good though.

What Warming Sensation???
I read a number of reviews about the heat level and ordered this up for my winter rides. I tried this out three times, each time the temperatures were between 20 -35 degrees. It was applied to my thighs, forearms, calves and feet. I honestly didn't notice any "warming" sensation anywhere.I guess I need to order the next heat level.
