Great head unit! I’ve always been a Pioneer guy and my last several Pioneers have had serious issues with the wireless CarPlay. This KENWOOD works seamlessly and sounds amazing! It has so many features for the sound quality it’s fantastic! I highly recommend this stereo!

Installation was really esay. however if you want access to all the features you must purchase a mastro unit and the supporting cables for installation. boots fairly quickly and wireless car play usually syncs within 30 seconds. occasionally longer and i haven't figured out why

I had Kenwood’s top of the line unit put in 10 years ago. It was a great unit but Kenwood stopped supporting the firmware. This unit appeared comparable according to the specs but oh what a beast! Every note in my truck brightened up and clarified so much I had to turn down all the gains on my EQ and run almost a flat response. The accuracy and fidelity of this unit was so bright it almost drove me out of the truck until I adjusted the gain on all channels. A smooth rich sound starting coming through with accurate sounding musical notes. I love the touchscreen rather than the tactile buttons but that is a very subjective choice. The display is non cluttered but bright and clean. They all have a glare problem in direct sun but I won’t take a point off for that. It has adjustable cross over functions to even finer tune your notes but after the eq adjustment I didn’t find it necessary. I had the hdmi cable attached during installation as an option as it plays different formatted video for my wife. I haven’t tried the function yet but one can assume it will work well as even the aftermarket backup camera was color, bright, contrast, etc adjustable. The trees always showed up pink until now. Green trees fully adjusted with Kenwoods system, There are more features on this unit I haven’t even touched that are extremely fine tunable for the picky audiophile. This isn’t even their top of the line unit and I’m thoroughly impressed. I would recommend this very unit to anyone with a very discriminating ear.

Wireless CarPlay is trash. I thought pioneer was bad, this head unit is even worse. If that’s why you’re looking at this, move on. Kenwood’s customer contact info is bad as well. Definitely don’t recommend, kenwood and pioneer should sell a spare starter for your car for as often as you have to shut your car off to reset the wireless CarPlay

This radio is fine. If you need the screen brighter learn the trade and hook up the illumination wires. You you know change the screen angle or even for the smarter bunch uh change do some research and learn how to use your new unit it has an option for on, off, or auto. Plenty of nice features and smart enough how to use it.

I really like this deck. Intuitive controls. Great sound. And it has wireless CarPlay and the ability to add a rear camera.

Me encanta su sonido, es un poco lento al encender y conectarse por android auto, pero es sonido es muy bueno. Si quieres que se escuche bien te lo recomiendo. Yo se lo compré a amazon estados unidos.

Este modelo depende de la comunicación con el smartphone para hacer uso de las aplicaciones en el dispositivo, excepto la radio y alguna memoria usb que se coloque directo al dispositivo. Considero que debería tener el sistema operativo Android y poder cargar aplicaciones necesarias.

The sound quality of this unit is not even comparable to the stock stereo on my car. The only grief with this unit is the display brightness which is really poor on sunny days. Despite having the illumination wire connected correctly to dim and un-dim with the headlights the display contrast ratio is simply not good unless you only drive a clunky truck on a rainy day to judge the brightness of the display. Forget about having a sunroof open if you want to read the screen on this in the daytime. Time and money spent on getting this installed would have been fully worth if kenwood didn't cheap out on the display which I doubt can do even 200 nits brightness to work properly on a sunny day. Since the angle of the unit can't be changed without custom 3d printing your own mounting for your specific car dash, I sourced and installed an anti glare screen protector which helps a little with the glare from the glossy screen but it cannot overcome the poor brightness levels available on this unit. TLDR buy this for sound quality not for navigation features from your connected phone as you will be struggling to see the screen during daytime.

Not the best out there. I have been having numerous issues with power cycling on and off when the cars been siting in the sun. Wouldn't buy it again.
