This device has the potential to be really good. It produces an excellent picture on HD channels on satellite and terrestrial transmissions. SD quality compares well with my standard TV. For recordings it has the advantage of using removable hard drives (internal or USB) with standard NTFS or FAT32 format which can be read on a PC. (You need to supply and format the hard drive.) The channels can be sorted in several ways, but while terrestrial stations can use the familiar Freeview local channel numbers, satellite stations don't seem to be able to use the Freesat local channel numbers. They can be sorted alphabetically and found by typing the first few letters of the name. You can plug in a USB keyboard and mouse to make navigation easier, and if you're not using the third USB socket it will take a webcam to use on Skype. BUT... there's no MHEG-5 decoder; so you can't get the BBC Red Button teletext service. Mine came with a continental 2-pin power adaptor, and I'm wondering if it's not a UK version. The vendor is trying to help but not getting support from his supplier. Apart from the lack of text I'm quite happy with it.

Vollgestopft mit vielen Features. Auch die Spezifikation erhöht die Erwartungen beim Kunden. Leider ist das Gerät völlig unbrauchbar. Lange Ladezeiten, friert ein, restart dauert 20min., Device läuft ständig heiss, umständliche Bedienung, ständige Fehlermeldungen, Senderwechsel mit 5 sec. Verzögerung, manchmal friert das Gerät einfach so ein und erholt sich selbst bei einem hard reset nicht. Mehrmals unterschiedliche Updates ausprobiert jedoch leider keine Verbesserung. Gefühlt ist die Software dermaßen schlecht umgesetzt sodass die Hardware nicht mehr mitkommt obwohl die Spezifikation anderes vermuten lässt. Oder es ist einfach nur Schrott mit gutem Marketing. Unnötig viel Zeit und Geld verschwendet. Mir ist selten so einen Mist untergekommen.Einzig positive: Gehäuse und Optik ansprechend. Braucht wenig Platz.
