Disappointing
Such a shame. Nice looking and well built however they just aren't recommendable. They constantly go unresponsive within the apple home app. The battery goes down really quickly meaning you go through batteries nearly every month and one of them even displayed the wrong temperature... Apparently in my bathroom it was 300°C...The display is nice and readable wherever you are in the room which is nice when you want to check the temperature at a glance instead of opening the home app (or other smart home app you use).Connecting was as simple as scanning the code on the back and waiting for the device to recognise it. Once it connected it instantly switched to thread and began reporting the temperature of the room I decided to put the device in.Overall I think this product could be good but unfortunately lets down on battery life and reliability. The connectivity is very simple and easy but for the money I'd look elsewhere for a more reliable sensor. Also beware that Amazon themselves won't help you if the item doesn't work. I had 6 defective units and when contacting amazon they explained there is nothing they can do. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID.

Great value, works perfectly
Easy to set up, accurate readings, clear display.Works without third party app, can be set up in Apple Home app.Looks modern.

Unreliable software but good display
I have found the Qingpong units to be unreliable. They often freeze up and need the battery removed and then put back in to wake them up. The display is good but they drain the battery fast. If they sort the software out then they would be good units.

Otherwise great product with a major flaw
This thermometer/hygrometer feels solid and well-made and is good quality for the price. It connects easily to the Apple Home app, and it works (almost) perfectly when the battery is charged. (It does occasionally lose contact with the Apple hub for a few minutes, but will always reconnect itself without intervention.)I have encountered no problems in getting it to trigger automations in Apple Home. The readings displayed seem accurate for temperature (I have no other point of reference to test humidity). It takes a few minutes to equilibrate when moved, but then its response time is quick.Unfortunately, it does have a significant flaw: when the battery is low and subsequently dies, you will receive no warning of this is the Apple app. And owing to the e-ink display (which requires no power to maintain), it will continue showing the last temperature and humidity reading. The display will not go blank, so a casual glance at it will give no indication that it is no longer working. There is no obvious way to notice this unless one is constantly checking the apple app; I want something I can set and forget. When I glance at it, I have no idea whether the temperature shown is actually correct without either going into the app to check it's still working (which itself is not foolproof as it does lose connection from time to time as mentioned above) or having yet another thermometer next to it for comparison.Possible solutions to this if Qingping is reading this review:1) make the e-ink display go blank when the battery is very low, but before it dies2) enable an alert in the Apple Home app to warn that the battery is low and needs changing3) add the ability to connect the device to mains power4) incorporate a small solar panel into future modelsIf this issue could be solved, I should give it five stars.

Works okay - but!
No problems with the set up, but the battery seems to last only a couple of weeks so it could become quite expensive to run (the thermometer is practically two metres from the router)!Edit: Well, after owning this device for over a month and have gone through several batteries I can now honestly say the battery life is terrible - approximately 12 days. Therefore I cannot recommend it, far too expensive to run!

rarely stays in sync, doesn't use Thread to connect
I bought this to use with Apple Home / Thread but it only seems to connect via Bluetooth. The sensor is continually reading as disconnected in Apple Home. Seems to work ok with Bluetooth on their app, but that's Thread (as the description states),

Great device, integrates nicely with Apple home
Picture shows temperature and humidity display in Apple home app.Nicely made with easy process to link into the Apple world using Bluetooth or Threads WiFi.Threads is much preferred for reliability as it provides a mesh network exploiting all your home Threads devices.

Don't waste your money
Great to start with and easy to setup, however they seem to stop working after a few months. The screen freezes with a display and you think it's working, but when you check the app it's off line and you can't reset it. I've had 3 of these, 1 had to be returned, got it changed, that has now stopped working and past the return window. 1 is still working.Overall 1 out of 3 is working as it should - not worth the hassle.

No vale para medir la temperatura
Los grados que indica estan 3 o 4 puntos por encima de la realidad. Dinero tirado…Acabo de actualizar firmware por si acaso pero sigue igual

Failed after just a few weeks
Update -- although the initial set up for this sensor was simple and it worked well, this sensor only worked for a few weeks. There are two major issues:1) Sensor loses the bluetooth connection to AppleTV (very close to the sensor) and I've not been able to restore the connection. I tried removing the sensor and re-adding it. I also tried removing the battery and forcing a reset. Nothing worked to reconnect this to Apple HomeKit. The AppleTV is only about 2.5 feet from where this sensor is mounted.2) The temperature does not update consistently through HomeKit even when connected. When I initially installed this including the initial successful connection to HomeKit, it was clear that the temperature was often wrong and significantly lagging on HomeKit. For example, the physical display on the sensor would display 70 degrees, but in Apple Home the temp would still be showing 77 degrees. A temp that the room had not been for hours.3) Now the temperature displayed on the physical screen of the sensor does not even update. Using another sensor, the room is 72 degrees right now but the sensor physical display shows 82 degrees. This is a nice looking sensor. Unfortunately, it is highly unreliable and -- at least in my case -- eventually becomes completely useless.

Simple and very functional for Apple HomeKit
I really liked this thermometer when it works with Apple HomeKit and Apple HomePod Mini.HomePod Mini works as a hub with this thermometer. Works according to the new "Thread" protocol.Temperature and humidity sensors are very accurate. I tested it in parallel with three other devices from very different manufacturers.Best of this thermometer:+ New and latest data transfer protocol "Thread". It allows you to connect different devices from very different manufacturers.+ The thermometer communicates perfectly, quickly and seamlessly with Apple HomeKit and HomePod Mini.+ The Thermometer/Sensor works remotely (no matter where I am) via the Internet.+ To view the history of the sensor, you do not need to register in the Qingping application and you do not need to have an account. The sensor stores a history of 30 days.+ Shows the battery charge of the thermometer in your phone.+ Even if the Internet goes down in the house, all the scripts and automation of this thermometer in Apple HomeKit work locally through the HomePod Mini without the Internet.+ Batteries should last a long time (+ 1 spare included)P.S. I want to note one important detail - the Aqara brand once officially supported this thermometer. This means that this thermometer is very high quality. Also for comparison - I tried "Hub Aqara E1 + Aqara temperature sensor" and I didn't like it.Qingping thermometer is better, more stable and more convenient.I am very happy with the purchase of the Qingping thermometer!

Top product
Uit stekende kwaliteit pracht scherm doet niet zo goedkoop aan als al die andere tft schermpjes, inclusief 2x knoop cel. En via de nieuw thread zo gekoppeld.
