Komodo Combined Thermometer and Hygrometer Analog

I actually have three of Komodo's combined digital thermos now because I like them so much. It's great being able to monitor both the hot and cold end of my vivariums with one device, as well as the humidity. I love that it has alarms to warn if something becomes to low or high - you should always have your heating elements on a stat but the added security is great seeing as outside factors can affect your vivs. The controls are a bit of a pain, my advice would be to just keep the booklet handy in case you need it, it's easy to forget which buttons to press and when for what you need to do given that there are so many options for this device. They seem to be reasonably accurate, but if you're looking to make sure or need extremely specific temperatures then you should probably also invest in an infrared gun too. If you have a 5ft vivarium with another vivarium on top you might struggle to stretch the wires how you need them, if placing the monitor outside of the viv. I have a 5ft with a 3ft on top and the wires aren't long enough for me to really position the unit in a good way - there's not enough to put the unit on top of the 3ft and not enough to put it at the sides of the 3ft without stretching at least one of the probes taut either way. All in all, I really like this product, it's a little on the expensive side but for me all the alarm functions etc make it worth the money.

I leave this on top of my hamster enclosure to ensure the temperature is right for him, and it’s super easy to read. It’s not tiny, so if you’re looking for something smaller, this might not be for you, but the size is perfect for clear, easy-to-read measurements. I love the design—it’s clear, simple, and has that classic reptile look. It picks up even small temperature changes and is surprisingly durable, considering I’ve dropped it a few times! It comes with an adhesive backing for easy attachment, though I haven’t used it myself because I’m picky about where I stick things, so I can’t comment on how well it sticks. Overall, it’s a great, reliable tool—I highly recommend it!

Feels a little cheap but overall so far so good. Stand is a little flimsy and i wish the cables were just a touch longer but over works well after a few weeks, great to have 2x lots of temps and hydro readings on 1 device. Easy to use and understand after reading instructions

Not a bad unit at all. Liked the idea of two temp probes for either warm and cool end of the vivarium or one in and one out plus humidity. The item works well and seems calibrated when the results are compared against other probes. The only downside is a really daft menu system. For example to switch the view between the two different temp probes requires several presses of two buttons completely undermining the whole point. Whoever designed the menu and display is clearly in the wrong line of work. Other than that a useful item.

As always when sent by amazon the item arrived in the time they said it would and well packaged. And the thermometer is very good with lot's of different functions, a bit confused on the in/out temperature as i don't see how u can get an out reading!? but i've got this in my bearded dragons vivarium 1 probe at each end and they give different reading's. There's about a 10 degree difference with the komodo dual gauge compared to my old stick on thermometer(not digital) so i would recommend buying this to anyone who's got reptiles as they need certain temps to thrive, and the stick on one's you get from petshop don't appear to be accurate. As for the hygrometer i don't know what this should be for bearded dragons, i just know they need it really dry, but a nice added feature that i'll have to research. Only 4 stars because it cost's a bit more than most others i looked at, but i bought this because i felt if its more money, it might be more accurate, but i can't compare it with anything so i not sure on this.
