The kenable NTE5A Master Line Socket is the essential component for properly terminating your BT telephone line. This fully approved network terminating equipment provides a professional demarcation point between your telephone operator's network and your internal extension wiring.The NTE5A features a two-part design with a removable lower connection unit, making it easy to identify whether any line faults lie with the network or your own wiring. Simply unplug the lower section to test the line directly. Built-in line test ringing components and overvoltage protection safeguard your equipment and ensure reliable performance.The front faceplate incorporates a standard BT601A socket with 4 wires connected, allowing you to plug in any compatible telephone handset or device. The rear of the unit features IDC connections for running extension wiring to additional phone points throughout your home or office.This complete kit includes a 23mm deep surface mount back box, making installation straightforward on any wall surface. Alternatively, the socket can be flush mounted using standard UK electrical back boxes for a neater finish. Easy enough to fit. Looks good. Review: Initial problem - Fitted the socket fine and wired with a Krone insertion tool. Got dial tone OK but the ADSL kept dropping out. After reinserting wires the DSL stabalised. The old socket had screw terminals for the line.
