Superb product
At first I thought this product was rubbish, but then the 'penny dropped'.I'd been trying to mount it to an area of the windscreen that has an interior stippling coating to help block out the sun.Once mounted to a smooth flat area of the screen, it stuck like a limpet.Pros:Sticks well to a flat glass areaGreat adjustabilityConstruction seems solidCons:It's not small! You might find it tricky to get the mounted equipment close to the glassOverall:Very happy, I've got another one in my basket as we speakI've only tried it mounted on the inside of a windscreen with items of 'action camera' weight so far, but I'll push its' limits soon.Yes, I do think this product can do more than I'm using it for, hold more weight and work externally.Just remember - flat clean surface!

I wasn't sure what I'd get for under four quid ...
I wasn't sure what I'd get for under four quid, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of this simple device, which, although largely made from plastic, seems adequately robust for its intended purpose, and, importantly, it works. The suction, for the moment at least, offers a solid attachment to the surface and seems not to leak. I am using it in horizontal mode [ie: camera mounted above the suction plate] so cannot comment on its suitability for vertical applications.Rapid delivery and very fair price complete the deal. So far - 5/5.

I'm buying another two - this is great.
This thing is great. It's not small, so if you plan to use it for a dashcam, consider a smaller mount.I bought this to mount a camcorder on my windscreen to document travels and this it does brilliantly. (my camcorder is mounted upside-down to get it tight in the top corner of the windcreen. I can flip the footage)It is solid and feels strong enough to mount a heavier camera than my 320g Sony and with all the screws tight there is no wobble or shake. It's so inexpensive.I'm getting one to mount my new Tascam audio recorder. It's so much more solid than any phone cradle I've bought before, so I'm buying another so I can also use the smartphone tripod mount I just bought. Disappointing, only works with a light weight, small camera.
Sticks extremely well and easily to the windscreen, but the arm is too short to fit an SLR or Bridge camera without the lens fouling the windscreen, our video camera won't fit for the same reason, despite it's small size, nor can it take the weight of my Nikon D3300 SLR for more than a few minutes without sagging, no matter how tight it is screwed up.We have a small Lumix DMC-TZ5 which just about fits on it, and we have been able to take some videos with this.

Bigger
It seems to me the actual device is bigger in real life than in the picture. This is because it allows full vertical and horizontal adjustment, and needs room for all these joints. If you attach it directly to the windscreen its ok. Say what you like about suction cups, but over time they start falling off. So I wanted it to connect to an Amazon Basics dashmount. It does this fine, but is very tall once the camera has been attached. So I modified it a bit by taking out one of the joints, and I now have a nice stable dash camera mount.Cannot complain for a couple of quid.

easily snap off
Item dispatched isn't the same as in the picture. Instead of the metallic screw you get a plastic one that cam.easily snap off. If not for the plastic screw (misleading advertising) then I'd buy someone else's as I wanted a metallic screw which is obviously stronger.

Great Clamp.
I brought this clamp because the one for my dash cam broke, this is a very heavy duty clamp and well worth the money. I took the metal ball out and wrapped it with some rubber so that it would clap my dash cam. Because of the quality I'm think of buying another one for my wife's dash cam.

Its pretty big but functional !
Much larger in size than I had anticipated with a suction cup diameter of 9cm (3.5 inches) and once a camera is attached its length soon grows to around 19cm (7.5 inches). Other than the size (which tends to push you up the windscreen a bit higher than you might like), it seems to do the job just fine - its easy to attach and unattach and provides full rotational mobility for the screwed-on camera.
