Brilliant!!
Brilliant!!Was recommended this author and this book by a friend..she was new to me but liked the sound of this book, so thought why not give it a go...I am so glad I did, it was such a light hearted, lovely read!!Sarah and Will first meet as young kids in a English class...after years of friendship things develop between them, Sarah has loved him for years and can't believe her luck that Will would love her back...but he does!! Things happen and hearts are broken....This story is about a second chance romance, I love the chemistry between the characters, it's very well written and the story flows so well....I enjoyed the secondary characters as well and look forward to reading more about Sawyer!Carey is definitely a author I will read more off...I will now be going onto the next book in the series HER.....thank you for a wonderful story...definitely 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

An enjoyable read.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a lovely second chance romance that will have you rooting for Sarah and Will. I loved the way the author wrote the book by alternating the chapters from the present time to reliving the past, so to inform the reader what had happened. The story was told from Sarah's POV.I loved both Sarah and Will and I really felt the chemistry between them. Everyone needs a best friend like Sawyer and I thought the author balanced the book with great scenes using the secondary characters. All in all a great read that I would recommend to you.

A beautifully written story xx
Ok so an author that I totally adore recommended 'Him' in her group on Facebook, so I 1 clicked, as you do xx and I'm so pleased that I did xx I really loved this book x I went into it blind which I prefer to do x anyways here's what I thought xxThe chapters are written from Sarah's POV throughout and they flick from past to present. For me this just added that extra edge and tension build up x more authors should do this. Seriously!! xx anyway, by doing this it kind of created little mini cliffhangers every chapter which just made me want to turn the pages even more. I devoured this book in a day. Young love is my ultimate go to and this book executes this just the way I like it xx there was just enough innocents to keep it ultimately beautiful and just enough drama and angst to keep my heart just on the right side of beating out of my chest.Sarah and Will have been BFFs forever although Sarah has always wanted more but never felt worthy enough or even that Will would want that x they finally get together and their blossoming romance is beautifully written. As with these romances though, things go wrong and that was heartbreaking to read xSo the ending x well it's not a cliffhanger but....well....it just stops! I was like wha??? If I had been reading a real book I would've thought some pages were missing, so I'm pleased there is a 'Her'!!I felt the emotions, and reactions from the characters were believable of their ages each time (past and present) I met my hubs when I was young so it was totally relatable for me (minus the heartbreak part 😜) so yeah I was fully drawn into this book x which is why I have given it 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I can't wait to start 'Her' and any other work from this author xxx

Great Read - can't wait to read Her
added this to my `to be read' list after it was recommended to me on twitter, and I'm glad for that. The cover basically says what it does on the tin. The book is called "Him" and there's a good looking guy on the front - always a good start. I've been reading a lot of romance novels recently and this is another that I really enjoyed. Set in the states this follows the story of Sarah and Will, best friends who, seven years ago, finally worked up the courage to admit their feelings for one another before it all took a nose dive and Sarah left town. Now returning for her brother's wedding Sarah is confronted with Will and past emotions rise as she returns to find him more ensconced in her family than she has been for the last seven years. Firstly, I liked Sarah's character a lot. I really found her easy to imagine and as I learned more of her story as it unfolds throughout the book a level of admiration builds for her and how her life has played out during her time away from her home town. She has strength and determination to go after success, and willpower derived from refusing to dwell on her first love. This is another instance where I'm glad that the story was told purely from Sarah's perspective as I stormed through this book and feel like if there had been two perspectives I might not have appreciated the story so fully. (I was especially glad that when I got to the end of the book I found that sequel 'Her' is coming soon!) Will's character is similar to Sarah's in that he goes after what he wants. He is determined to get Sarah to open up about what caused her to skip town all those years ago and make sure she knows that his feelings haven't changed. The way Will is described makes it easy for you to fall for him and every time I turned the page I was wishing that the next would be the one that saw them getting back together. I really liked how the story was written, as I've mentioned, it flicked between past and present. I thought this really helped to build up the characters and an appreciation for them both in their own right. I also liked how the reason for Sarah's swift departure was always getting closer to being revealed which will keep you hooked right to the very end. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment!

3.5 stars
3.5 stars.I was really enjoying this up until the 88% mark, after they'd (mainly Sarah) figured out what idiots they had been for the last seven years, and then I kinda lost interest because I was only reading it for their relationship and it sort of went somewhere else. But for that first 88% I was really enjoying it and the way Will acted around Sarah, both in the past and the present, was really cute and I really liked him. It was love!On the other hand Sarah was a bit annoying in her inability to believe he loved her after listening to the lies of one jealous girl all those years ago and then pushing him away at every opportunity but she came through in the end.
