The Wonderful John Williams
The composer John Williams has played a major part in the history of modern film music.. AI is a brilliantly conceived score, even if you haven't seen the movie you can understand what this story is about simply by listening to this music.I enjoy John Williams melodies, his rhythms, and his orchestrations they are always thrilling and very original. I know that there are many people out there who may disagree with me when I say that I believe he is The "Beethoven" of present day big blockbuster film music. Hum the melody for "The Star Wars Theme" or "Superman" or "Jaws" or The Harry Potter Theme or any of his music composed for a Spielberg/Lucas blockbuster film and hum it to anyone in the world who knows these movies and I bet that they will all know instantly what you are singing moreover it will bring a smile of delight to their faces.I believe that the measure of a great composer is the public recognition and popularity of his music and John Williams reaches almost everyone with his soundtracks. I think the man deserves to be called a musical genius in every sense of the word.AI is wonderful and moving, the themes are glorious and the orchestrations are excellent. This score also comes with some fascinating electronic music and some great choral writing.Recently I have been listening to another side of John Williams, his Violin Concerto and "The Five Sacred Trees". Although I cannot say that these works have the same instant appeal that the music for "Close Encounters of The Third Kind" or "Raiders of The Lost Ark" do but it still shows his brilliance of being able to write and compose in any musical genre.

Possibly my Favourite Soundtrack
Emotionally-draining and thought-provoking, John Williams' soundtrack to an incredible film combines elements of minimalism, electronics and vocal effects to create a superb portrait of the 'Mecha' World. Barbara Bonney sings beautifully in 'The Search for the Blue Fairy' and 'Replicas' is probably the most unsettling track I have ever heard by Williams. 'The Moon Rising' is very exciting, beginning with the broken chord theme first heard in 'Abandoned in the Woods.' Unfortunately this soundtrack had technical difficulties importing into my iTunes but that may not be because of the CD. Anyway in terms of music this is a must-have soundtrack.

AI comment.
A really outstanding CD,totally spoiled by an almost unuseable track 12,which was the main reason for my purchase. So very disappointing.

A.I. I like.
A.I. more like A +.There's nothing artificial about this composition from John Williams. Heartfelt and moving are some of the adjectives that an android would use if they had genuine feelings and emotions.

Excellent Album, But with major distorted flaws
A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) is an excellent and beautiful soundtrack to an amazing film. The only downside is the major digital distorted flaws contained on the disc itself within the soundtrack, track twelve being the main culprit. Impossible to enjoy when loud static noises replace the music on multiple occasions. Such a shame as it stops me listening to he album as a whole, thus the 2 stars and not 5.
