Just the ticket for small property structured cabling installation.
I bought this to finish off the structured cabling installation in a property I was renovating. I've never used one of these before but I was familiar with the principles. It was really easy to connect the wires in and is installed onto the wall. My only complaint is that the screws it is supplied with are too big to fit through the holes when fixing it to the wall, but as I didn't ever need to remove it again, I was happy that I screwed it through the case. Just about to buy another one for another house.

Poor quality assembly
I purchased this patch panel on 24 July 2018. It has performed adequately until recently when one port stop operating. I checked the cable connections and found that the port in question was apparently operating again. However, it has been intermittent in its operation- closer examination revealed other ports would be intermittent just by moving the patch leads. The internal connectors do not appear to be soldered, rather they are of the 'push-fit' variety. Poor contact with the circuit board seems to be the primary cause of the problem. The fingers on the RJ45 connectors appear tarnished although the unit has been located in a dry location. This product is of poor quality and, at £26 per unit, represents appalling value. I would not recommend this item.

It does the job. Good solid construction and hasn't had any issues since I put it in place. Punchdown was a little fiddly for the pin closest to the chassis (pin 4 or 5 - can't remember which but the blue/white one) as my tool tended to catch on the casing. That said the space I was working in was very constrained (what is it with electricians that they can't put a spare meter of cable in for termination?) and with a bit of care it hasn't given any problems

Excellent and easy to use
I finally got round to fitting this for my home network (using Cat5e cable rather than 6 but that is fairly irrelevant). It's easy to use with a network cable punch down tool - align the cable with the appropriate slot and off you go Once finished, it feels sturdy and was easy to attach to the wall. I would definitely recommend this product. In case anyone asks - this is purely a patch panel so no power etc.

It's a perfectly solid, well put together patch panel, ideal for a wired home or small office.
OK, I don't really "love" this. It's a patch panel. It's easy to install. It's easy to wire up (if you have the correct tooling). It's working great and all the devices appear to be connecting up at 1Gbps.So no complaints, and now my cabling looks neat, rather than just be a pile of cables snaking out of the wall like Medusa's hair-do.

Well constructed panel with clamps and cable ties provided to really secure any cables coming into the panel. Also numbers the pins which is really handy for identifying problems if you have a cable fault (as I discovered today, one year after buying one of these). For a home network, it's first class, and I'll be buying another one shortly!

good with very minor niggles, not affecting performance
one of the cable holder screws was a bit soft, there are not enough guides to attach each network cable (and the power supply) to one each, but in a domestic network it was easy to install, is internally well labelled, it has mounting holes on the base. it does what you expect and since it is in a cupboard I'm not fussed with the standard beige colour scheme. I'd buy another if I needed 12 ports in a domestic wiring situation again.

Good for small office/home network
Good quality and value. Would have liked wall mounting screws to be supplied but otherwise good product
