I love this necklace! It works great! The Ferro rod is obviously small but it gets the job done! The cord is heavy duty and looks very nice. It’s very simplistic which makes it easy to wear and pack around. I wear it every time i go camping in order to always have an ability to make a fire if I need to.I recommend it to everyone! Fire and heat is one of the most important survival tools. This is compact and easy to wear. If you like being prepared at all times, this is the necklace for you!

This is very easy to use and really lets the sparks fly. Understand that there is black paint that will be scraped off in use, so the look will change to that of scratched metal.As with most leather cord, this has a plastic like feel, so I would go with the black paracord over the leather, unless the brown look is important.I intend to keep this in my preps as a method of fire-starting. This worked much better than other flint style firestarters I have used in the past.Also, this would make for a great gift to a teenage boy!
