Good value product delivered very quickly
The item arrived on the stated day and was well packaged and in good condition. It was unpacked and put to use straight away and seems to be working as it should. The clear plastic cover seems a little fragile and will need to be handled with care, but is adequate for the purpose. The electric cable is quite heavy duty for something consuming so few watts, but this is a plus point, and the length is long enough for most situations. The generous sized tray heats up and stabilizes at a suitable temperature for the job in hand. All in all, I rate it as being good value for money

Fantastic value for money
I have a small Stewart propagator that I bought years ago, which is still going. But I needed more room so bought this one. I was expecting a lid as bad as the original but this one is much better. Still quite thin plastic but much more rigid. The tray is quite deep so gives a lot more head height for taller cuttings which is what I needed it for. Great buy

Good product
I've purchased 2, they are decent for the price. No temperature control and the vents on the top are a bit flimsy but useful to get seeds going.

Does the job
Cheap and cheerful but does the job

Not sure how long lid will last
Product works well but the clear plastic lid is incredibly flimsy and I would be amazed if it lasted long.

Guaranteed seed germination if you use it correctly
This is my fourth electric propagator. Seeds need warmth to cause them to germinate, and if you don't have a suitable greenhouse or sun lounge, then one of these is the answer. I grow everything in 75mm pots, planting three seeds per pot. You can get 24 pots in this size propagator. As soon as any seed has germinated and produced some leaf, you need to take that pot out of the propagator and get it out into direct light, otherwise the plant will grow tall and spindly and keel over when you eventually remove it. I normally end up with at least 50 good seedlings from a single 24 pot sowing. The lid is rather flimsy, but no worse in practice that the rigid lids of my other propagators, which chip and crack quite easily. Since it is a standard size of tray, the lid can easily be replaced if it does split. If there is a warm spell, I hook the propagators up to a time switch. This turns them off during the day and on at night, keeping the seeds in the correct temperature range to encourage germination. As with most things in gardening, you learn through trial and error, but this propagator is doing everything I expect.

Very pleased
Arrived in good time and was bigger than expected even though the measurements are given.Big enough for 2 x 24 section plant trays, so a lot of seeds to start with. I cannot do with all this potting on thing when these are big enough to grow reasonable size plants in. I may be wrong on that, who knows. You don't have to use the trays of course. Butter tubs, take away cartons or individual pots would be just as good. It's in my conservatory at this time as my shed doesn't get a lot of light and I'm a novice seed grower so I didn't know if light is needed.I bought some Innes compost, which I wouldn't use next time without sifting, and 6 days later I have little green leaves coming up. So I needn't have worried lol. Such a little thing makes you smile though.I haven't had a problem with it heating up, as some have mentioned. If anything my son-in-law advised me turn it off during the day and open the vents, which I now do.The loss of a star is for the relatively flimsy lid. I've bought a smaller propagator from Wilko and the lid is very strong which would be preferable on this large one. The cable is also quite short so it needs to be by a plug socket or use an extension.Overall I'm very pleased with this, so much so I was going to return the Wilko one and order another of these. However the price has jumped up from £23 to over £30 so I will wait for now and I've cut up toilet roll inners and started off the smaller propogator (24 seeds in that one).I would say that depending on the space you have, the bigger the better but do some homework and actually go and look at some before ordering, which I didn't do with the Wilko one.Happy growing 😁
