Star Trek The Next Generation: The Full Journey [DVD]

Star Trek TNG is my favourite season I always wanted on DVD.Good quality and a great price, the case however is absolutely terrible, nearly accidentally broke a disc or two, also the discs are jammed packed that much that they keep failing out of case 😡I give TNG a 5 star but the actual case it's self is a 1.

Went down a treat. To have the complete series is awesome. Fantastic value for money & made someone smile.

Patrick Stewart has regularly been rated as the best commander in Star Trek, and this collection is a must for TNG fans.

Back in the day I bought the VHS tapes as they came out. By the end of the show's run I had two 8 foot shelves filled with the things. Then along came DS9 and then Voyager... I had to stop buying them because they simply took up too much space. When DVDs came along I threw away my old VHS collection and never replaced them... until now.This collection is great. The entire box set, containing all seven seasons, fits into a shelf space 10.6cm wide - i.e. the same as 7 standard DVD cases.As to the content, it's mainly just the episodes, there isn't much in the way of extras. E.g. no commentaries that I've found so far, just the odd special or retrospective on the final disc of the season - but I'm not through all the seasons yet. Picture quality is generally acceptable, a couple of episodes have degraded blacks and have lost some definition. It's hard to believe that such an important show might have been recorded on a lossy video stock! In fact I'm surprised, because I thought ST:TNG was filmed. I guess not. Still, I'm happy - I can watch all the episodes again, and it doesn't cost me 16 feet of shelf space!

This Star Trek TNG set splits the discs, exactly like the last X Files set, into three amaray boxes, the first holding seasons 1-3, the second holding seasons 4-6 and the last, a slimmer one, holding season 7. It includes only the television show and not any of the 4 feature films which followed it. For the films, i recommend buying the Stardate Collection (The Motion Picture - Nemesis) or, if you only want TNG, the seperate TNG film set (Generations - Nemesis). This si a great set if you care only about the discs and not so much about packaging. I've taken to transferring the discs into seperate cases and making my own covers.The picture and audio is fine. Obviously it isn't going to be of the highest quality. This is DVD, not Blu Ray. It isn't as atrotious as you may have been led to believe. You stop noticing after a while. The special features are minimal but ok. There are some decent documentaries if you want to learn a bit about the shows background.If you're poor but you want to watch Star Trek TNG, this is the set for you. You can always upgrade later. Also, this is cheaper than buying them individually.

its grate to have the compeate set will go nicely with the others a very enjoyable watch to revisit nest gen

Recipient was pleased with this box set, but not impressed that price has been reduced from £60.00 to £45.00 in the fortnight since purchase was made.

I'm only on season two of Star Trek TNG. But it is as good as I remember from the TV. Having it on DVD is better as I can pause it if I need to get up for any reason.The only thing I don't like is the packaging. The plastic box the disks come in has them stacked on clips that they fall off of. The inner disk flaps?/pages? are also difficult to turn.

Una serie estupenda, esta edición (UK) viene con muchos idiomas adicionales a parte del inglés, incluido el italiano. Producto entregado a tiempo en perfectas condiciones.

pour le moment pas de gros problème, sauf sur le premier DVD ou le doublage en français se coupe une fraction de seconde et passe en anglais. et pour un fan de star trek ce n'est qu'un inconvénient mineur en regard du plaisir de revoir cette série.

Bellissimo cofanetto che è andato molto oltre le previsioni. Recensisco dopo aver rivisto l intera serie: prima di tutto il cofanetto è costituito da custodie di plastica che al loro interno contengono alcune decine di dvd, soluzione pratica ed elegante; i problemi di doppiaggio di cui avevo letto si sono presentati sporadicamente solo nel primo e nell' ultimo dvd. i am thoroughly enjoying watching this series again. There were so many episodes I had missed. It is also nice to watch the whole series in sequence. The continuity of watching the backstories develop and characters evolve over the years is pretty cool. Now if Paramount would release well recorded copies of DS9 at a reasonable price, I would be a happy camper.
