Can’t even strip standard 14 gauge wire
Seems descent but the instructions in broken English should give a hint. I bought these for a large basement rewiring project, but was quickly disappointed on first use. They simply did not strip normal 14 gauge wire because the stop wouldn’t tighten enough to hold it - it just slipped right out unless I held it by hand. I tried using the adjustment screw, but tightened as far as it would go and still didn’t handle standard 14. I bought one for my nephew as well. I plan to return mine and get one at a local hardware store I can trust more. I’m guessing I’ll need to re-buy for my nephew as well. Do not recommend this product.

Stick to the old style wire strippers
When I first saw these type of wire strippers I thought wow. especially the idea of being able to splice wires in the middle. but after testing this, well let's just say you are better off using a razor blade and pliers because this wire stripper breaks more than few strands and that's not professional wire stripper. overall great idea but doesn't deliver. playing with adjustment nut does not prevent this from breaking wire strands it only effects the grip. this may be ok for solid wires but not stranded wires. if you can live with few broken wire strands then go for it but if you are a pro and want clean stripped wires then stick to the old school wire strippers they are much more accurate.

they worked great with no problems
I needed these to strip some cords for ma security camera system I was changing... they worked great with no problems... stripped the coating without damaging the wires inside. I havent tried them with smaller wires however, alot cheaper than the ones I seen at home depot too which tend to range around $30 - $60.

So so.
When it works, its good, when it doesn't, it's a pain and will either not strip or will strip some of the strands from the wire. I find it best to hold it with the head upright and work the mechanism a couple times to loosen up the head clamps before inserting the wire. I'm almost thinking the less expensive harbor freight version would do just as well

Wasted money.
Wasted my money on this one. I have the adjustment screw tightened down as far as it will go and still can't strip 12/2 wire.

Excellent tool
This appears to be a slightly lower cost copy of 'big name' versions. It certainly encouraged me when I first handled it as it is very solidly built, and handles very well.In use it has been exemplary, cleanly and easily stripping cables of almost all diameters without need for adjustment. The only cables it has struggled with were of very small diameter - pre-fitted to very low wattage LED light fittings - which have only a few copper strands inside. It strips single cables and the outer cover from multi-core cables with equal ease. The only job it does struggle with is if you want to remove just one or two millimetres of extra sleeve, it does need approximately 4mm minimum to get it's 'teeth' into. With less it just tends to slide off. These are tiny, rarely encountered issues and I feel pretty confident that any equivalent tool, no matter how expensive, would struggle to cope with these issues. All in all I think this is a brilliant piece of kit, and because it works so smoothly and easily, I look forward to having to use it. How sad is that....?

Great value tool
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have to strip alot of wires as I assemble a lot of 3d printers, before this I used a combination of flush cutters and a cheap manual wire stripper/crimp tool. This tool is very easy to use and efficient, i allows me to save a lot of time when I have a lot of wires to strip. The size guide is also very useful for when I have to strip a large amount of wires to the same length.Due to the design of the tool it also allows you to strip a wire midway through, this oftern isn't needed but it is a nice feature to have. I highly recommend this tool as a cheap alternative to hobbyists.

Essential hand tool for any budding DIYer
I can't believe I have never bought a wire stripper before - it makes life so much easier! I was fitting a new outside light to our home, I removed the old unit, installed the new one, however I had to reconnect the new wires via a junction box. This meant I spend over 15 minutes stripping down the wires using a Stanley knife and scissors! With my new wire strippers this job takes seconds!I have large hands however this tool fits into hands really comfortably, it feels really solid with its metal arms and rubber grips. The adjusting nut to change the stripper strength and the stopper that adjusts the length of the stripping length are really useful features.Highly recommended.

Good value tool
Saves time when you have a load of wires to strip. Easy to get consistent results with a bit of practice. Time will tell how long it lasts as it seems (in common with most things these days) some of the key parts are plastic. However, has given me no trouble and so far has proved very useful.

Started ok but soon went downhill!
Purchased this last October and they have just got worse and worse. They started off ok and then they sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Sometimes they don’t work at all and then they just stretch the sleeve. Destined for tool heaven and will buy a better quality set. Disappointed.
