Acrylic Painting Step-by-Step

I am returning to printing after many years and wanted to work in Acrylic. This book is a very useful aid to techniques in this medium because I last worked in Oils (many years ago!). It clearly and simply shows how you can use Acrylics with either / or / both watercolour and olis methods.I find its content and approach to be ideal for me and would recommend it to anyone in a similar position

This is certainly one of the best manual on Acrylic painting. The author does not onlygive written instructions, but illustrates them aptly. It is a manual for both the beginnerand the advanced to learn to excel at Acrylic painting.

I'm getting back into art after a long time away. I've had health issues and life got in the way too. I have a Diploma in Art from leaving school, back in the late '80s so I remember quite a lot, have natural talent, but didn't really do much with acrylic paint and it's a new medium for me.This book has really inspired and pleased me. It's a decent size, around A4, and is illustrated well, with step by step presentations by three artists. I like that each artist gives you a list of things that they use too, gets the creative juices flowing.I will pick up good tips from all artists, however, the one that stands out is the self taught artist named David Hyde, the way he works and the images that he produces really make sense to me, I'm on the same wavelenght.It's a book that you could happily read from front to back, or you can dip in to wherever you need tips at the time. It's not spiral bound, that's a shame, but it's not a reason not to buy this book.I would very highly recommend, especially to beginning painters, though experienced artists, such as myself can find much inspiration here.
