Tighten the piece at the bottom of the backrest. It’s a little knob you turn. It can set to lock by twisting it. If you pull too high up it sinks back down though. Make sure not to pull it up higher than it allows or it resets

Excellent mesh chairs

I've sit in a lot of office chairs over my 35 years career and this one is the best so far. It supports my whole back and neck nicely. I'm crazy about its functions. seat slides when lean back. Recline angle up to almost lie down. It feels pretty good. My sister love it as well.she'd buy it before Christmas
