The blade of the naginta is HQCS carbon steel already sharpened with a black blade and silver edge. The scabbard of the naginata is hardwood finished black with a dragon etched into the wood. The shaft can be dissassembled and used as a sword.

63" Broad Head Japanese Samurai Naginata
I wasn't expecting much when I first bought this item as I have seen all the bad comments about poor quality and the incapacity of actually using the blade. More to that, I'd like to add that my blade was pre-owned and brutally tortured to the point that I have no choice but to spell "parabola" again after all the painstaking years of high school...Yes, I can rest assure you that my naginata is in the shape of a parabola.However, the overall quality is okay for practice. For all those who played with the blade -- No! You don't play or do jumping jacks with a NAGINATA and the ultimate reason why it is not allowed in some places is that you're scaring people by cutting holes on your bodies . And as for the price I have decided to leave 3 stars for the overall quality and the protective sheath for the blade(it really should be included in the preview picture too). Focus more on the durability of your products and there will be a great market waiting for you.

Good Price, Poor Quality
I kind of expected a little better the price is low so apparently the quality is too it is good for display just done handle it to much the handle is flimsy and it is no where near balanced. it is simply a decoration as other wise parts will start to break easily.

IT was huge when i reciveved it even had a bit of a sharpness too it only downfall was the holder for the blade was cracked and the dragon on the holder was also faded not sure if it happened during shipping or at the shop but have to be careful other then that amazing product!

NICE, BUUUUT
IT LOOKS NICE BUT IF I WERE TO USE IT IT LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT BREAK. WHAT PERSON IN THEIR RIGHT MIND HAS A SCREW IN BLADE. THATS RIGHT, YOU HAVE TO SCREW IN THE BLADE. NOT TO MENTION THE LITTLE GOLD STOPPER THING ISNT ON THERE PERFECTLY. BUT IT DES LOOK PRETTY COOL.

Good, but could have been packaged better.
I purchased this for my husband. He loved the look and weight of it and now has it hanging up. Sadly the scabbard was cracked/crushed (looked as though someone paused during shipping to play kickball with the box). Luckily, he didn't care for the scabbard anyway and the rest of it was in good condition.

It's a cool weapon to add to a collection but only draw backs are the staff fells cheap and the blade wobbles but the blade is nice and sharp

the sword was awsome,true to the pic,my nephuew loved it,mail was fast,there was a little chip in the blade cover but a little wood glue and can't even tell.i was very happy with this item.
