Phenomenal, utterly transforms the taste of a dish
Wow, just wow! If you like the flavour of truffles, this is a must-buy, absolutely phenomenal and goes a long way. Gorgeous with fried or poached eggs, heck, with anything else really. A little goes a long way, and it's probably best to use this as seasoning. I have not tried cooking with this (i.e. adding it to sauces etc) as I think that would mask some of this glorious flavour. Seems expensive at first glance, but I now have to say this is absolutely worth it!

Plantin Truffle Salt
At first I was not interested in this salt. I found it strong smelling and didn't really enjoy it. I left it fir some months. Then I put some on tomatoes, and I have been addicted ever since. It adds a whole new dimension to flavour enhancement by salt. It is just perfect with everything, and ordinary salt now tastes flavourless. So I buy Plantin rather than another brand, because Plantin really is the best. Others may small stronger, but their taste does not match the smell.

Not worth it
Eventually we have finished it and we won't buy any more. Rather expensive, does not add any great deal of taste to the dishes (even salads) and smells of garlic so strongly that we had to wrap it into a plastic bag in our spice drawer. Not worth the aggra.
