The smell is very off putting. Smells like cheap plastic.

Softens your hair. Heavenly scent. Trains natural hair. You can comb through with your fingers. Releases any tangles easily. No battles with entwined hair. It's a keeper. The instructions for use could be a little clearer though.

My child has mixed hair and goes swimming several times a week. This saves a lot of time from our more intense condition, detangle, shampoo, rinse, re-apply conditioner routine. Now we do that just once a week and we use this co-wash on the swimming days just to get the chlorine from the pool out.

This is a great product. Works well for thick curly hair. Unfortunately my daughter has a super sensitive scalp so we could not continue use. Smells great and made her hair soft and shiny!

Recently I was looking for a new shampoo for my children as their hair was looking as light and bouncy as it had when they were younger. It was actually in a review from another Amazon customer that I found out that there are certain ingredients in some shampoos that can actually cause children to loose their curls. Per the reviewer, this could be reversed by using a shampoo / conditioner that doesn't contain these ingredients. there was not a specific product mentioned and I don't think that would be allowed to be a part of a review but I started searching for curl shampoos and conditioners here on Amazon. I came across this and one other shampoo. I have used this co-wash quite a few times and after the wash my children's hair comes out light and fluffy not weighted down and dull as I was seeing with their previous shampoo, a well known "natural" baby brand. In addition, we are starting to see my son's curls coming back which is awesome. In closing this co-wash has definitely delivered on what is promised and the price point here on Amazon is great. This item is also available for subscribe and save which is something that I take advantage of whenever it is available especially for my baby items.
