Folding Door Gate, 48" W x 37" H

The gate is great but...did not come with hardware. Lost a star for that...

We have 3 Mastiffs and a Blackmouth Cur. Occasionally we like to eat at the dinner table without being stared at...eye to eye. I also have teenagers who are Bigfoots. Their feet literally grow twice as fast as the rest of their body. That means they are constantly kicking thing and tripping. We HAD a wooden expanding gate. No, the dogs didn't eat it, but they would lay against it...hard. It would bend beyond the laws of physics. It was unnatural.And the kids would kick it, bump into it, and fall over it. So would their bigfoot friends. Eventually it broke when my daughter was doing laundry. Although the washer is in a completely separate room and I am still not sure exactly how it happened. She attempted a Duct Tape repair, but my keen eye noticed it the first time I tried to use it after the mishap. Well, maybe no so much my keen eye as it fell off the wall...but I saw it fall.I'm not one to make the same mistake twice and I am one who believes in doing a job once. This gate is job done. Mastiff proof & Kid Proof. I can now eat dinner in peace and I get a deep sense of accomplishment when I hear the kids yell when they bump into it.PROS:- Mastiff strong- Easy to install- Compact storage- Well madeCons:- Very stiff expansion (I assume it'll loosen up with time)- Should have some sort of handle to open/close (no pinched fingers)- Sharp Edges (a file or sandpaper can sort this)
