Not one of this authorโs best
As much as I liked the previous historical by this author this one couldnโt hold my attention. I really donโt like pirates so that explains the first story, but I guess the second was trying to rush and there wasnโt enough chemistry in it.

A pleasure to read!
This was my first Sylvia Day book and oh what a pleasure it was to read! I chose this book because it consisted of 3 short stories, that would provide me a fun โescapeโ while on vacation. The stories did not disappoint. I found the couples and their stories interesting, the sex scenes hot, sensual, and frequent, which did not offend me in the least. In fact, I will seek out this author again!

Lackluster Liasons
These were 3 stories interconnected by family/friend relationships. Plot moved quickly, lots of heat and if you like regency romance this is your jam. I took away two stars because it seemed predictable in areas and some of the heroine reactions seemed a little over the top. Overall a nice read if you are looking for a safe escape to the past.

4 Stars
Funny read. I thoroughly enjoyed all three stories. I also liked that all the stories were interconnected. Any one will enjoy this book.

Lovely Liaisons
Sylvia does a great job in each story yet intertwines them beautifully. She is one, if not the best, erotic writer of them all. She rarely, if at all, ever disappoints. Her attention to detail in the characters and the surroundings always keeps you on the page, unless you are busy doing other things at the time. Give it a look, you won't be sorry. Keep them coming Sylvia, excuse the pun!

Surprised by Happy
Somehow I did not carefully read or remember the index for Scandalous Liaisons. When I received it I was expecting to read one long story as I had in the Sylvia Day novels before this one. When I came to the end of the first story, I was disappointed because I wanted more. However, I continued reading the next story, and before I knew it I was caught up in that one, too. The same happened with the last one as well. It all ended up being a treat instead of a disappointment.

A wonderful trilogy of improper sexual tension - it's the book version of Downtown Abbey!
There is something different and unique about these books. Possibly because it's rare to expect such sexual tension in the 1800's and it flys in the face of all the normal airs and graces. More likely however it's Sylvia Day's Amazing writing and the characters fabulous depictions and scandals behind closed doors. It's The book version of Downtown Abbey!

3 books in 1 what's not to love!
I do love a good Sylvia Day book and this is three in one so even better. If you were born in this time it seems that being ravashed by a rake was the thing to do. Wicked bad gentlemen being tamed by there ladies (the only ones who can really control them - their perfect matches). In 'Stolen Pleasures' you have pirate Captain Phoenix (Sebastian Blake) who finds out he has stolen his own bride Olivia Merrick. Bit of a shock to him and her when he lets her know. Fun adventures to be had on the sea. Who wouldn't want to be taken by a well built pirate. In 'Lucien's Gamble' you have a sister that would do anything to help get her brother out of trouble. Even if that means dressing as a man and entering a gambling hall. Its a shame (or delight in the end) that Lady Julienne La Coeur can not disguise herself enough for Lucien Remington not to notice - think its how tight the trousers are. They have all sorts of naughty fun in the weeks that follow. The stakes are high though as Julienne is gambling with her heart to get the man she loves to admit he loves her in return. In Her Mad Grace you have Hugh La Coeur sheltering a storm with the mad Duchess with only Charlotte to keep him company in the day and his bed warm at night ;). There wasn't a lot to the mystery to this one but as it is only a short read you couldn't drag it out for long. In the end you still have a hot little romance to get stuck into.Well worth the read so if you like Sylvia's books then check this one out :)

Three interlocking stories
I brought this book as I am reading my way through all Sylvia Day's regency books and I am enjoying them all. Even though these 3 stories were all interlocking they each provided an individual story with plenty of good romance. The first was about Lord Sebastian Merrick aka Captain Pheonix and his bride-by-proxy Olivia, then we move onto Lucien Remington, a gaming club owner (and friend of Sebastian) and the lovely debutant Julienne Le Coeur, who has to save her family from ruin and the final story about Julienne's brother, Hugh Le Coeur and the reclusive Charlotte.

Fabulous Bad Boys
Excellent - three stories- so well written that I honestly could visualise them right before my eyes. I chuckled and smiled at the antics of these glorious rakes; the intimate scenes were truly enjoyable and so cleverly written that you experience every single sensation as you travel through the scene. This book is written in the grand style of the Queen of Georgian fiction and as as a direct result of reading this, I downloaded Georgette Heyer's These Old Shades and Devil's Cub and thoroughly enjoyed them all over again.

WARNING ! Read 2nd story BEFORE 1st one
Had to give 5 stars as I love all 3 stories BUT be warned,if you read the first one, before the second one ,you will have the outcome of the second story revealed before you have even started reading it Can not imagine why the publisher printed the book in that order ! Did they not read the contents ?! I know anyone who reads this genre knows that there is pretty much always a good ending, but it does spoil story 2 having the outcome there in black and white at the end of the first one !

Scandalous
I love practically anything Sylvia Day does and even though this is early work from her it doesn't change the fact she is absolutely brilliant. The only drawback I had to this was that the first two books were the wrong way round but it didn't stop me reading them. The usual hot brooding man and (not quite) damsel in distress storyline works well and there are the usual sex scenes that Sylvia can provide which make any book she writes scandalous.
