BLACKHAWK S.T.R.I.K.E. AK 47 Double Mag Pouch (Holds 4)

If you are an ak guy...this set up is for you. I purchased this fine piece of gear a few months ago and I could not be any happier. If you are in a hurry and not needing a full explanation then here you go.....BUY IT WITH CONFIDENCE!.This unit is perfect for my Yugo style steel mags. They stack and secure without issue and pull smoothly without resistance. They are perfectly sized for ak47 steel mags. If you are using magpul pmags you can actually get away with an ar platform setup in many cases and you will have many more options then.... but if you are like me and prefer the steel ones than this setup is the way to go.The od green is very green. It will fade a touch I am sure but is more ranger than od right now. Thats ok for me.....the functionality and good quality of materials and design are a fair trade off to me. The stitching is good and the molle rigidity of this product is the selling point. They are stiff straps and have not moved at all since install. Was easier to weave with stiffer straps as well. Just a good design...yet another fine product from Blackhawk. I hope that this helps someone on the fence about purchasing this product. I think that it is a wise investment even though it is more expensive than some but I really feel that it is worth every penny of what I paid. I recommend this product highly and would give it more stars if I could. Shipment was fast, coming in several days earlier than I expected, which is a plus for me. On first in inspection, I though they were a little bulky, but that was to be expected since I am using them for AK-47 mags. Using Tapco mags, which have ribs on them, making them larger than normal, they were a snug fit, but with a little effort they work well enough. I'm not a big fan of velcro lips and I would rather use bungee cords, which I am going to modify to use, but it holds up well. The color is slightly darker than normal mulicam, but it works and will fade a little with use. The stitching is good, the MOLLE webbing on the back holds up nice, the snaps are nice and crisp and it holds up to my jogging. So far, no problems. It really is hard to find some good mag pouches for AK-47's, especially ones in mulicam. These cut the cheese for me, and I will probably cut the flaps to replace them with bungee, which is what I prefer. Overall, a great product and one I would buy again. I recently bought the triple mag pouch, which is the one I will use on my rig, but I attached these to my ALICE pack for extra ammo, and they work like a charm.

This fits my ak47 mags pretty well. Its a bit tight but Im sure that will break in. And I stacked 4 us palm ak47 mags in it. They are a bit wider than the metal ones or some other brands of poly mags. They only issue I have is the color. I have so other stuff that is "multicam" but this pouch doesnt seem to quite match. The colors are a bit darker than my voodoo bag and the pattern a little off. Same with a couple other things I have. It wouldnt deter me though. Practically it functions great compared to a couple others I tried. And seems to be well made.

It's blackhawk, of course its excellent quality. It holds 4 ak mags. Metal, tapco etc fit great, us palms are tight, but still fit great.

Holds 4 metal or poly mags securely. A little harder to pull out the poly ones fast. Build quality is excellent..holds tight to my carrier. A little pricey for what it is..but I'm ordering another.

The Color of od green was a great match with vest holds magazines securely with strong velcro

Nice mag pouch. As advertised and extremely useful but doesn't fit 40 rd mags.

If you have old school steel AK mags, you can barely squeeze four of them into this holder... But just barely. If you have the newer Magpul plastic mags, you can't squeeze in two mags per pouch.I still gave this product four stars because the weight of four AK mags in one pouch really is too much weight for a typical battle belt. I bought two double pouches, so I am carrying for total mags on my condor belt... Which is perfectly fine for me.
