Apple Peeler, Corer, Slicer with G-Clamp

This year our apple trees have an abundance of fruit, so this will make processing them a little easier. It is strong cast metal with plastic shields to protect your work top or table. When the jaws of the clamp are opened fully it only just fits around a 40mm kitchen worktop, so if you have very thick worktops this may not suit. I put a small piece of non-slip matting between the metal arm & the shiny worktop to stop it slipping. The only assembly needed is to attach the small wooden handle - remember to turn the screw anti-clockwise! The slicing plate and the peeler are razor sharp so watch your fingers. I had to adjust the peeler blade slightly as it cut too deeply. Nice round evenly shaped fruit peel beautifully, but with misshapen apples areas can be missed by the blade, but with 60-70 kilos of apples to peel and core I can live with a few missed bits! The apple is sliced in a continuous spiral and the thickness of the slice can be adjusted. The core is removed cleanly. Cleaning is just a rinse under the tap and thorough (and careful !) drying. Overall it's a kitchen gadget which will be well used each autumn.I wish there was a version of this machine which peels and cores but DOES NOT slice, like the one my grandmother had. Manufacturers please take note!

I bought this for an 'Apple Day' event for children. They got to use it on their own British Coxs apple and then to have the pleasure of eating the apple. The peeler, corer and slicer is fantastic, not only doing a good job, but fun at the same time. You do need a sturdy surface to clamp it to, a cutting board to catch the peel and kitchen roll for sticky hands. If you want it just for kitchen use, it is a great time saver, only seconds to finish the job.

Did what it said on the box.Dont purchase the one with the sucker, the clamp on this one is strong and provides the required purchase to allow the blade and corer to do its job.

Absolutely brilliant - peeled 14 apples in no time and lovely even slices. Glad I got the one with the g-clamp as even that had to be tightened to stop it slipping. One of the most useful gadgets. Stephen Fry was right!

This fantastic contraption makes eating apples fun and takes nearly all the work out of slicing them up for cooking. All the family insist on having a go because it's so much fun.This one clamps to a table which is much easier to use than the suction attachment version. I have that one and have to hold it down all the time because the suction isn't great. But that might just be a fault with mine.An absolute must if you own an apple tree! But beware it might be necessary to get a bigger freezer to store all the stewed apples !

An excellent machine which takes all the agony out of peeling your apples. It not only peels, but cores and slices the apple in one fell swoop, in seconds. The machine is sturdy, easy to clean and store. I would recommend a block of wood between the clamp and the item you are clamping it to in order to protect the surface.
