Extra Large Microwave Kiln Kit 15 Piece Set for DIY jewelry making tools

Warning you will get hooked. After making a few small pieces I got hooked. I love this set that has everything you need. I did purchase kiln wash. I had it no time before I purchased a larger table top kiln but I still use the ex large kiln set. Working with glass on this easy level is great and my family loves what I have created with little to none experience. Purchase you will love. PS: this is one of the best values kits and I search the net before I purchased and could not fine a better price for this kit.

Fun for small project to get started

Very disappointed that I spent an extra $40, over DOUBLE the Kiln price, for a “starter kit” so I could start experimenting immediately. I couldn’t. Not only is this kit missing a few important elements, the starter glasses were poor quality, chipped, mostly flat & dull, especially the “dichroic”. Very disappointing & not worth it. There’s no oil in the cutter like advertised (no it didn’t leak out it’s dry) no glue to put on the jewelry bails, gloves are thin (be careful), no instructions for use. Plus there are no MW kiln books out there that have any use. The 2 I bought were a joke, the same with diff cover & totally incomprehensible & useless. So I’ve order a couple hundred more in supplies, including a countertop ME. They say don’t use your food one cuz of off gassing. Thankfully found a 900W on sale for $60. Yea, looking into writing my own book, maybe selling complete starter kits too! I’ll let ya all know.

I bought this to experiment with melting glass, and I fully expecting half of my projects to not turn out. From the very first item I melted, it is all usable. My only regret is not buying this much sooner.

No instructions. I wouldn’t buy this if you’re trying to learn the craft. I was hoping to unpack and go/learn but I had to do more research which led me to understand I needed more supplies, time, and information. If you know what you’re doing this may be a great product.

Instructions were NOT included in the box. However, I did receive the box of items as shown in the photo. After doing additional research: Do not use any microwave that you use for food. It must be a dedicated microwave for fusing only. Extra items you will need: Kiln wash Spray

I wrote an earlier review that parts were missing I hate to admit to having a duh moment but everything came as promised it was inside the kiln, again so duh! So haven’t used yet but will review once I do, just wanted to rectify my earlier submission.

Advertised as an extra large kiln, I did not notice, that the description changed the kiln type to a large one. So, that was on me. This is a standard large kiln. The extra large one typically has a 6.5” firing platform. It will do for what I need for now. But it is not what I expected, as it was not as advertised.

There is always a learning curve with any craft you are doing for the first time. Everything was as described. A good amount of glass to get you started. I am very pleased.

There are no directions for use.

Tried it twice and not doing a good job. The kulin was cracked 2 place inside. Pieces missing. 2nd on i ordered an both were missing pieces and cracked. Returning it all and looking elsewhere for something better

I am so disappointed with this kiln. There were no instructions and so I had to use the minimal instructions from the amazon website. After 6, 8 10 ....minutes with different glass pieces NOTHING fused. My microwave became incredibly hot making it dangerous to touch risking a burn. Almost fried it completely. Not a good investment at all!
