Sultans Chocolate Stem Ginger (500g bag)

I love choc gingers. I tried various brands from Amazon. All pretty, shiny, perfectly shaped, in giftable packaging. All disappointingly sugary sweet with tiny pieces of dry, bland ginger within. I got these and they may not look pretty but they taste excellent. Thick, rich dark chocolate and large, tangy, moist ginger centres. Would definitely buy again.

At £9.99 for a 500 grams bag, methinks a bit too expensive. That said, it was delicious and it was gobbled up over Christmas and New Year.I put little gifts with Christmas cards and Christmas gone I put wooden "Merry Christmas" cut-outs on string within each envelope. If it's for local letterboxes, a couple of pieces of this ginger would go down a treat, in cellophane, tied to the envelope.I will definitely be buying again.A lovely treat gifted to yourself or to loved ones and friends.

Plus points: Lovely chocolate, fiery ginger, just the right amount of chocolate.Minus points: No chocolate lustre, in fact arrived covered in a bloom, really varied as to size.I did find the bloom disappeared when wiped with a piece of barely moistened kitchen roll, so was still able to box up and use as presents, with some left over for me.Would I buy again? Yes, definitely, just bearing in mind that if I want to give any as a present a little extra work might be needed - if it were just for me I would just eat them as they were.

Apart from the fact that ginger is highly digestive, these taste gorgeous - so I don';t wait for indigestion until I get the bag of ginger out. This is the second bag I have bought and no doubt I will buy another - great value for money and the flavour is superb.

Disappointed as I thought i was buying dark chocolate. They are milk chocolate. Don't match either photo or description. But not eligible for refund.

An exceptionally good product ..indeed one of the best I've tasted. Chocolate is thin and dark..ginger well prepared and very yummy! Packaging and look of product is basic but the quality is in the product. I highly recommend these chocolate gingers.

Dad loves ginger so got him these, packaging not great but secure & pratical, have now bought him some more but now complains that my mum keeps pinching them, they both say they are lovely quality.

Best tasting ginger, has a kick. Far better product than the prettier looking versions. Ok, no shiny chocolate but it is chocolate unlike the other. Only lost a star for presentation (gets bashed in a loose bag), but the taste is worth 5 stars.
