OtterBox Defender Series Case for iPad mini (A17) and iPad mini (6th gen) - Ideal for Business Customers - BLACK, Rugged, Durable, Multi-Layer Protection (Single Unit Ships in Polybag)

Great protection for the $

Otterbox is the standard. A few years back I had and iphone7 with a defender protector. Car ran over it, front and back tires. Threw it into a ditch about 30 yards away. That phone still works to this day with no loss in functionality. It didn’t even crack the screen. I have now reason to believe this one is it the same. I can say that it looks great on my mini and functions great.

I really like this case and I feel like my IPad is completely safe in it. I like the texture of it, and the hard shell case a lot! I only have two minor gripes with this case. First is the screen protector. It is nice to know that my screen is safe from scratches but it does occasionally interfere with the apple pencil and not alway make a great connection so you can write. The second thing I don't completely love with this case is the door for the apple pencil. If you aren't using an Apple pencil its not a problem because you can have the door closed. But with it open it keep the screen protector from sitting flush on the screen and will also let dust under it meaning you need to clean it more. Other than those two things I don't entirely love this is a really good case!

I purchased this case at the same time as purchasing a new ipad a few days ago. The case is three pieces: the initial back holder piece, a plastic screen cover, & a semi firm rubber outer casing that locks everything together around the edges. Sounds good until… any liquid, even drops due to humid conditions get near the screen. There is a flaw, the screen has a few design holes on the edges of the screen cover so condensation (it’s a hot humid summer; or any other liquid) near the holes is now in the case. Since the case is sealed, you have to unlock it all around the sides and take it off to get it open. Here’s problem #2, the liquid in the case is going to move anywhere it can including the charging port while you are trying to open the case and get the moisture out. Unfortunately, I briefly saw the “goodbye” message on the new ipad that liquid had entered the port before the ipad screen was destroyed and the case was fully removed. Well I got to use my new ipad for a day before starting the Apple warranty process that I l fortunately bought with it. If your issue is drops, perhaps give the case a look but for use anywhere near a liquid, it’s a risk.

Always satisfied!

The otterbox is missing clear cover for the screen. Thanks.

Fits my newest version of iPad mini GEN 6, has a (blast shield) a cover I can snap over the top of the screen so when I’m traveling, my screen does not get scratched up or broken. Pretty cool.

We have been using Otter Box cases on our iPhones and iPads for years. That occasional drop from the counter or chair has never been a problem. After years of using Otter Box cases, I wouldn’t look for any other brand. End of story!

Great compact case. Great protection super tough. Still really easy to use the I-pad and great value for money.

Great, study, exactly what I needed.
