The shampoo has a deep purple tone, and works by depositing violet pigment onto the hair, which is at the opposite end of the colour spectrum to orange/yellow. This pigment therefore neutralises any brassy tones in grey or platinum hair, and boosts vibrancy in highlighted hair.
