Excellent performance! Flimsy construction.
The performance is amazing. It works really well and flawlessly. The build quality is a little cheap though. Both the transmitter and receiver are constructed of flimsy plastic which feels really cheap in the hand. A little weighting would help as cables hanging off the back could pull the units. This is the only reason I removed one star from a flawless rating. One thing to note, I had a bluetooth receiver, a Miccus Home RTX: Long Range, Bluetooth Music Transmitter or Receiver (A2DP) , to send music from my phone to my AVR and the interference from this unit cut the range down significantly. Before this I could walk all around my house with my phone the music would keep playing (the bluetooth receiver had incredible range). After this the phone has to be in the same room for reception to work. This is not a knock against the iFinity kit, just something for people to know.

And it transmits very clearly with good volume over a distance of probably 50 yards
After trying several different approaches, this is the one that worked for me. You do need an active powered source for sound- you can't just plug a passive mike into the transmitter. I use an Olympus MP3 voice recorder on one end. And it transmits very clearly with good volume over a distance of probably 50 yards, inside a building, with great signal strength. Easy and reliable to set up.

This is the first audio transmitter I've tried capable of sending and receiving clean audio through numerous walls. My only grief is that after being unplugged for a period of time, the receiver and transmitter have to be re-paired.
