These are more expensive than other electronic earmuffs with the same noise reduction, however if you plan on wearing earmuffs for a long period of time they are very comfortable! More so than other earmuff I own.. and now lend out ;)Bought these based on a couple of friends recommendations, I am Very happy with this purchase. Sound quality, comfort level are the main benchmarks I'm basing my opinion on.

These really are fantastic over-ear hearing protectors. As a firearms instructor, I need to know what's going on around me at all times. The prior, less expensive ear protection I used was just fine for blocking the jarring crack of gunfire, but my situational awareness was severely impaired. With these MSA Sordins, I can hear everything going on around me - even through the cacophony of gunfire.I paired these headphones with the U.S. Tactical Sewing Advanced Modular Headset Cover, and the comfort level went through the roof. I can now wear these all day without my ears or the top of my head itching or hurting from discomfort.If you're looking for the best, press the trigger on these.

After receiving the product I was happy with the sound quality, however I didn’t like the battery installment method. As for getting the batteries out, I don’t like banging a headset that I spent over 200 dollars on just to get the barriers out. But for the quality of the sound it’s perfect I do recommend this for experiencened shooters, I bought the gel pads as well and they do make a difference; I didn’t even test them with the regular foam pads. Overall if I were to compare them to the comtacs I’d say they’re about even.

They are outstanding!!! I can pick up the direction of what I am hearing which is a big plus. They are extremely comfortable which is very important when you wear them about 6 hours a day. The one thing that really surprised me was the battery life! I have had the for about six months and only swapped batteries twice, and I need ear protection roughly five days a week. Last but not least they do not interfere with shouldering a rifle! I am not quite sure about firing long guns with them or "presicion" style shooting but for CQB style wether it be for training, or recreational purposes they are outstanding
