I bought this because I have and elderly dog who has accidents in the house sometimes. I clean them up right away and wipe down the top of the rug pad. I lifted it up to vacuum underneath and it looks like all of the urine and liquid from drinks that have spilled went straight through! The description says: "Spillguard barrier prevents any leakage through to the floor, makes spills easy to blot up" Very disappointed. This could have ruined my wood floors if I hadn't caught it in time. When I view the order I can no longer request a refund. I bought it about 3-4 months ago.

As you can see this is not foam!!! Premium? Are you kidding me. I had a lot of guests coming for the weekend so I needed something, but couldn't be more disappointed. This "felt" rug pad is clearly nothing of what I ordered, especially for what I paid! BUYER BEWARE!! Rip Off!! Wish I could give it 0 stars!!

So far so good... I bought this pad because I have a female dog that has frequent UTIs and the signal she has one is when she pees in the house. I can clean the rug, but I hate worrying about the hardwoods underneath if I don't catch the accident right away. So far she's only peed once on the rug this is under, but it kept the floor dry and was easy to clean. Also, I have an inexpensive area rug in this spot because she does have this problem, and I like how plush the rug seems with this pad under it. I had to cut the pad so there were a couple of inches of rug beyond the pad on all 4 sides (to avoid tripping on it), but that was easy to do.

I bought this for my living room after adopting a dog prone to accidents. I'm using it under an indoor/outdoor rug inside over hardwood flooring. I needed to trim it a bit so that it fit properly, but I'd rather it be too big than too small as it was easy to cut. Also, it is pretty thick compared to the carpet, but I like the extra padding.I wish I'd gotten this earlier. The new dog had her first accident on the carpet and it didn't even get the top of the padding visibly wet. Absolutely no moisture reached the hardwood floors. Even better, I can't detect that it's retained any odors (though I do clean up the accidents with Nature's Miracle odor neutralizer). This is going to be a true lifesaver!

Our dog peed on one of our area rugs and we didn't notice it in time before it stained the hardwood floor underneath. I immediately looked around for something to protect the floors in case this happened again, this was exactly what I wanted and was better than I expected. I love the extra cushioning it gives to the rug and love that it has the added protection of spill guard just in case! Came in all different sizes but would be easy to trim if needed (Our 8x10 fit perfectly). I would highly recommend for anyone with hardwood floors, especially if you have pets that could be an issue. These are so much nicer than any rug pad I have ever found!

I bought this pad to go under an 8x10 living room rug. It feels amazing to walk on, super soft. No risk of tripping hazard, and it's not going to slip on me, it's too big. I specifically needed the stain guard as I have two senior dogs at home. My 17 yr old husky tested that feature a few days ago and im happy to report it works perfectly. Expensive for a rug pad, but well worth it to protect my hard wood.

Just got hardwood floors and I needed something to put under the rug to protect the floor. I read other reviews some good some not, so I decided to try. Nice thickness, yes it is taped together to complete the size ordered. There was a bit of a ripple due to not being completely squared. Flattens out under rug. The other reason for purchase was because our dog has accidents every now and again an sure enough just days after laying down :( it happend. Pad worked great, nothing leaked thru to our new floor. I recommend this pad!!

After scouring the internet for days looking for a pad for under my rug, this seemed to be the best. And I am glad I ordered it. First, you cannot find a carpet cushion/pad for cheaper anywhere. Not even close.My main concern was with the actual "cushiness" of the pad. We have a 5 month old and need somehwere soft for him to play and roll around on. This does the trick perfectly. Its soft enough for my wife and I to get down there and play with him and it doesn't hurt our butts or knees. It feels great underfoot when walking on it.We have also already spilled a few times and it seems to hold up to its spillproof name.It does come in 6 foot sections that are taped together, and that was a big concern of mine, but it really hasn't caused any issues.Overall, great product, I would recomend it to any friends looking for such a thing.

I purchased this to put under our area rug over hardwood floors. It was slightly larger than the area rug but was simple enough to trim with just a pair or scissors. The pad is thick enough to add extra comfort when walking bare foot and the spill guard protects the hard wood in case of accidental spills. A little pricey, but as long as it lasts and protects my hard woods should be well worth the money.

I purchased two of these pads to go underneath two rugs to help protect the hardwood floors in my apartment. I have a dog and a cat - accidents are bound to happen. So far, the pads have been entirely spill-proof. They also add quite a bit of cushion underneath the rugs, which is wonderful.I'd highly recommend this type of padding to anyone who might ever spill something on their carpet.

Both the 8'x10' and 5'x7' pads are geat carpet pads especially when you have pets who have accidents around the house. I can rest assured that the flooring underneath wont be affected.Only downside to the 5'x7' pad is the carpet moves a lot on it, wish it had some type of grip to hold the carpet in place.

Update: another week has gone by and I'm still amazed with this rug pad. It's thick enough to cushion my knees when I crawl around with my baby (and I've had four knee surgeries - its usually unbearable to crawl). He spilled an entire juice cup on my rug and the liquid just sat there on top of the rug until I cleaned it up. I had a guest last night and she said, "wow, what kind of pad did you get for this rug? It's really low-pile but I feel like I'm walking on shag!"In other words, buy it. Seriously.Original review:Squishy, helps keep rug in place, and really does help prevent spills from soaking into the carpet. Customer service from Rug Pads for Less is UNBELIEVABLE. Absolutely WONDERFUL. I will definitely buy my next rug pad from them. HIGHLY recommended.

I've had this pad for 3 years and really appreciate the extra cushion it gives to my rug. It's held up well and basically I never notice it. This past week a container of water tipped over and spilled onto the rug, the total was approximately 1/2 gallon. The rug is wool so it didn't really absorb the water and the pad prevented any water from reaching the wood floor. I was able to soak up the water in a short amount of time. I couldn't be more pleased and relieved. Thank you for making such a great product.

We purchased this to go under the carpet under our kitchen table. I wanted something that would catch any liquids that spilled without having to worry about it getting down to the hardwood floors below. The size was great It is nice and thick and really makes the carpet feel softer. It warms up the whole room. The price is right and I would buy this again!
