Recording, releasing and touring a couple of albums in 18 months is beyond the realms of comprehensibility for most bands, but then King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard aren't 'most bands'. Forget a couple of albums, Friday April 29th 2016 marks the release of 'Nonagon Infinity', their fourth long-player for Heavenly Recordings in a little under a year and a half. Workshy they ain't! After the acid-flecked cosmic jazz of 'Quarters' and the hazy, pastoral, acoustic bliss of 'Paper Mache Dream Balloon', with 'Nonagon Infinity' the Gizzard once again dive head-long into the gonzo freak-beat frenzy that mark both their Heavenly debut 'I'm In Your Mind Fuzz', and their perpetually in motion, double-drummer propelled live show. Recorded by Wayne Gordon, Paul Maybury, Michael Badger and Stu Mackenzie at Daptone Studios in Brooklyn, in keeping with their indefatigable spirit the 9 track album may be the world's first infinitely looping LP. Each of the nine, complex, blistering tracks on 'Nonagon Infinity' seamlessly flows into the next, with the final song linking straight back into the top of the opener like a sonic mobius strip.

Brilliant!
This was a present for my 17 year old grandson. When he unwrapped it, he jumped round the room shouting Yes, yes, yes! so I think it was well-received!

Nonagon Infinity Opens The Door
Aussie psytch nutjobs, King Gizzard delver their most urgent and best album yet. The concept is that the album is one whole, so you get repeated riffs and melodies throughout. The tracks are however different enough to make it feel like an album. The music is driving, psych rock matched with modern electronics, the inclusion of wailing, bluesey harmonica pulls it back toward more trad rock. The mash up of modern and classic works great. If I have a gripe, it's that the muddy production takes away from what should have been a crisp classic. That said, it's still exciting, fast paced stuff that leaves you wanting more.

infinitely awesome
Bought this on a whim - heard 'Gamma Knife' on 6 music and decided to go for it. Heard another track while waiting for release day to come around, and that was good too. CD arrived yesterday and I wanged it on the stereo. Zero regrets - I can't remember the last time I played a new CD straight away again after the first listen. Only small criticism is the deliberately muddy production - I know it's trendy and it does add something, but not as much as it takes away.

Masterpiece
One of the best albums I have ever listened to. The idea behind this album is it can play for "infinity" where the last song loops into the first song and every song fades into each other. Even though I bought it on vinyl and I think everyone should, for the first time listener I recommend buyingit on mp3 to get the full experience of the Nonagon Infinity.

Space rock for the new era
This is a great 'modern' psychedelic rock album. I heard them on BBC 6music then Spotify and took the plunge. Well worth a whirl for fans of Hawkwind or Gong. Oh yeah - avoid the silly trouble I had by looking for the download code on a card... it's on a sticker on the inner sleeve. DOH.
