Supplied complete with an installation kit and instructions, the splitters are made with a stainless steel core and are housed in an ABS polymer shell to take on the stress caused by any hardwoods. Designed in two parts, the 'splitter' piece keeps one side of the cut square against the fence whilst the 'kerf keeper' piece is pinched by the curving offcut and travels with the workpiece, keeping the cut open and away from the blade. The kit includes '+', '++' and '+++' size pieces to suit many kerf styles, all marked on one side of the piece for quick and simple installation. Each '+' marking represents 0.003" offset, so '+++' equals 0.009". 4 x lightweight pieces are included which come out of the designated slots more easily than the steel pieces, showing early signs of danger when cutting lightweight pieces. The complete kit consists of 2 x splitters, 4 x kerf keeper pieces, precision drill guide, a drill bit and screws.
