Early days, actually only delivered today, and the 1st scooter that I have owned, but Mobility nation have been extremely pleasant to deal with, so far. I was called to confirm day of delivery, which was kept to and all my questions have been courteously dealt with, so no complaints on the customer service side. The scooter itself was very easy to unpack and there was minimal assembly to complete before I was zipping around my driveway. It seems to be of robust construction but I suppose time will tell if this is the case. I am 17 and a half stone and it hauls my bulk around with consummate ease, my drive has a reasonable incline which it deals with easily, the seat is well padded and comfortable and there is ample adjustment, enough for it to fit anyone. The individual pieces are of a manageable size and weight, but actually the scooter (which comes pre assembled minus the seat) was light enough to lift out of the box anyway. So, in summary, I am a very satisfied customer but, as I said, it is early days.A quick update. I have had the scooter for around 3 months now and returned, last week, from a trip to Las Vegas. The scooter was no problem to transport, and was the envy of all as I zipped up and down the strip with the basket full of beer. Scoot performed almost faultlessly with the only, slight, problem being that it developed an annoying squeak or rubbing noise from a back wheel. I called Disability Nation when I got back and they were able to quickly book it in to see what they could do. The problem was in fact rectified within an hour of my arrival. I was able to ride around a test route to ensure that I was satisfied with the repair.I must also comment on the range. I have done quite a few miles now and have only charged the batteries twice! and not because they had run down but just to make sure they were up to prolonged use (Las Vegas strip is about 5 miles down and back) I am not sure of the exact mileage but I have done a couple in this country to test, twice through Manchester airport, 4 times through Orlando airport, twice through Phoenix airport all whilst loaded with me (17.5 stones) a rucksack and pulling a 23Kg case. On top of this I have been around Sea world, a number of mid west towns and numerous shopping trips. This thing is a real revelation and I would have no problem in recommending to anyone. Mobility nation are a breath of fresh air, if customer and after sales service is what you measure a good product by, look no further.2 and a half years later and & scoot is definitely part of the family. He has travelled more miles than most pilots and travelled, without problem, with several airlines. The construction is robust and, whilst there are a number of scuffs and scratches now, he still looks great.I have recently noticed that there is a reluctance when going uphill, this may be a result of the motor needing attention or the batteries are getting tired, im not sure. I will get scoot seen to and report back. I am still amazed at the longevity and performance of my budget scooter, and have not regretted for an instant my purchase choice. So, to update. Its now 3 and a half years since I took delivery and still its doing all I ask of it. I replaced the batteries in January, so the originals lasted just over 3 years. I replaced them myself with internet sourced gel batteries and it was a very operation. I recently travelled back to the UK, from Phoenix, this involved a 2 plane journey and will be travelling back, via Las Vegas at the end of April. Scoot, it seems is here for the long haul, I still have no regrets whatsoever and would recommend the explorer 4 to anyone needing a cheap, yet reliable, electric scooter. So, 6 and a half years in and scoot is still good. I have just replaced batteries again, I overcharged them, and they ballooned up (scoot was still trundling along with no apparent problems but I was checking before our road trip to Florida and I was not confident in their ability to hold charge), everything else holding up fine. There are a few knocks and I did have to repair one of the wheel arches where it got a piece knocked out due to rough airport handlers. A little fibreglass matting and red aerosol paint and good to go again. Full expecting 10 years out of this fantastic little machine.Another update. Although I have to say that the seat pole has broken at the bottom this fantastic little machine has, so far, lasted almost 7 years and has stood up to much more than could possibly be expected of a budget scooter, I have used it to push a loaded 8x4 trailer around my yard, hauled toolboxes around the place. It has done countless mile on over 80 flights, mostly to the USA, has been used off road in several countries now without missing a beat. In fact the seat pole breaking away was totally due to my overconfidence in it and my adding a 2'x2' basket attached to the seat in which, amongst other things that have been carried include my grandson and my wife!I will weld the seat post back onto the frame and continue the adventure. I still, after 7 years of hard use, would recommend this scooter without hesitation.

Able to get out
I am so happy with this product as it enables my freedom the only thing is it has a banging noise as you drive along which gets quite annoying and also sometimes it won't start. So I have found myself sitting and waiting for quite a while. Otherwise love it.Fits in my car and can take it anywhere.

Problems with the Explorer 4 from day one.
I bought the scooter in April 2017 the seat that came with it was damaged, and with in 3 months the two front tyres were bald. one actually punctured. Thanks to John and Mark from Mobility Nation, they sent me a new seat and 2 front wheels. Also by this time the front basket had disintegrated, it was like it was made from chicken wire and covered in plastic. The seat stem broke where it was welded to the frame which I could not believe, my partner who is registered disabled was on it at the time. I was told by Mobility Nation to bring it to them for repairing, they are based in Coventry and I am in London. I ended up putting an 8mm bolt through the stem and frame, the seat I had to put 2 screws either side to stop the back rest from going too far back. Not to mention the puncture proof tyres that cost £79, because the 2 front tyres went bald again all this was in the first 8 months. Now the battery charger is playing up and the batteries that use to take my partner miles, now go from green to yellow/red with in the first 10 minutes of driving. I think the batteries may not be holding their charge. The only good thing about the Explorer 4 is it was quite fast for a 4mph scooter, although your bones would get a good shake up. I hope this review helps, if you are planing to buy one.

Ordered 2 scooters. 1 didn't work. Boyfriend checked ...
Ordered 2 scooters. 1 didn't work. Boyfriend checked everything. It was sent back. There was a wire loose which I was told my boyfriend should have seen. He has been doing this job for 25 yrs! Scooter not worked for a month. No compensation offered, was just told that it was v expensive for them to have it shipped back. If buying check if someone can come out to fix it instead of sending it back. Nightmare

excellent product and service
I bought this product over a year ago and it has been a godsend. Having researched some time and tried some scooters in a local mobility shop I was stunned with the amazing price. The battery life is excellent. I can go miles on several different days without worrying to charge the battery which charges to full again in 2 or 3 hours. The overall quality of the scooter is every bit as good if not better than scooters I had tried 2 or 3 times the price. The company selling the scooter were second to none with very freindly helpfull service all the time Ive owned the scooter from all members of staff I've spoken to. I did have some problems with the performance initially and the company collected(free) the scooter, replaced the motor and returned it again within a couple of days. Superb. Some negative points... When it was delivered by Ups the driver wouldnt bring it into my house because it is a very heavy box. Fortunately my son was able to lend a hand so if purchasing make sure someone able bodied and strong is able to be there when its delivered.. ( Once out of the box the scooter is very easy to put in and out of the house and back of the car.) The scooter easily disassembles into 3 parts but fits into my Ford Galaxy without need to. A safety issue I have is that the accelerator lever on the steering post can be pressed accidentily when reaching for things in shops. After a couple of hairraising incidents I now remove the key when not actually moving!!Overall a superb product and service I would have no doubt reccomending.
