I've tried and tested several different makes of mobile phone operated VR headsets and this is the best. It's basically a Virtoba X5 but with a different logo and if you look online, the X5 also had great reviews.It's light, well made and comfortable, and also has a very immersive 120º field of view. This is much wider than most other VR headsets out there which only have about 100º - 103º. This makes you feel like you are really there as you can't see the edges of the eye chambers if you have a bigger mobile phone.It also has a very helpful focus adjustment for different eye prescriptions, and an IPD adjustment so they you can set the distance between your eyes (inter pupilary distance). This is a really great feature that isn't available on many other headsets either.The lens quality is also extremely sharp ... much better than any Google Cardboard i've tried, far better than the Oculus Go's and Quest's fresnel lenses - so this just gives the sharpest images you'll see from your smartphone.Ultimatley, the image quality depends upon your mobile phone ... newer ones have higher pixel per inch densities and therefore the resolution appears much greater and clearer. When used with an iPhone X or later or a Samsung Galaxy S8 or later (with 538ppi - 570ppi) the image quality is simply the best. However, this also works well with all older and smaller phones like the iPhone 5SE.There is a little distortion around the edges and some chromatic abberations that cause slight colour degradation at the extreme edges, but hardly noticeable.It's a shame the big hardware VR headset makers don't design their headsets with this degree of optical care as it would really make a difference.This is VR at a budget price so try it ... It'll be the best £25 you've spent this year ... 👍
