This product is great for any beginners... As it's easily installed in the fish tank and easy to clean. Plus it gives you a chance to get a much better understanding of how the filter is cleaning the fish tank water. Also when checking to see if it needs cleaning you could very easily lift the filter pad up and see both sides the front and the back. It is hand washable, except for the filter unit you need to get a fresh new brush in order to help remove the dirt that's clogging up the unit. The brush will make your job so much easier and throughly clean the unit both outside and inside. A part from that the maintenance of the unit itself will exceed your expectations as long as you look after it.

Brought this as a replacement as my old one i110 Marina worn out after 10 years of constant daily use. After some noise (air bubble inside, new plastic impeller rubbing) it settled down & now cannot hear anything. I love this filter with the "waterfall" element as it creates lots of air bubbles in the tank which my fish love swimming in! Easy to assemble, a extra internal filter included & excellent value for money. Arrived on time & securely packaged up. Great service. Very happy with this purchase.

comes with a two point plug not the usual three, this should of been stated, fairly quiet but little water flow, will use till filter needs cleaning and will buy a proper one instead.

Marina i110 is a very nice easy install easy clean filter system, I took one star off for noise but honestly it is not bad at all. The noise only comes it you allow the filter to stick up out above the water line then it makes a little waterfall which looks very nice and the fish like it... Cartridges are very cheap and best prices here on amazon> 3 pack x 2 cartridges and will last most of the year and the filter also comes with a pack of two , you only use 1 at a time. Marina i110 suitable for a 60 ltr tank while 100+ tank you would use the i160 which is very similar to the i110 and use the same cartridges. If water slows down or stops then simply take out the filter wash it and the gate filter replace... You will get anything from a month to 6 weeks using this method. These filters catch minute particles so no cloudy water and healthy fish if you are doing other things right of course :)

Got this filter for a new tank for my axolotl that I bought because the last filter was way to small for the size of the tank. Put this filter in and thought it didn't really do much and was a little disappointed but then I noticed my axolotl has been way more active and happy than usual and it keeps my water very clear. Has a little hum but most of the time I don't really notice it.

I didn’t like that the filter comes with switch that uses two round pins. In the UK and Ireland, the standard is a three-rectangular-pin plug. This should have been clearly stated in the product description so I could have decided before buying. Totally not worth it — a waste of money.

Worked really well with ceramic media and a small sponge for a few months (cleaning the sponge weekly to prevent clogs). I replaced it with a hang on back filter purely for looks but would not hesitate to start using it again if I set up another tank.

J ai acheté ce filtre je suis très contente car j avais le même il a quelques années je suis conte moi aussi de l avoir retrouvé fonctionne très bien moi j ai eu une prise normal pas étrangère pour les prise etrangere vous allez dans les magasins de bricolage et vous les trouver en prise normal ça côté pas cher du tout je le recommande pour sont ptix c est très correct je trouve je l est très vite reçu la boîte un peu abîmé c est pas grave car le filtre fonctionne très bien et l est reçu toute complète il manque rien bonne journée à vos tous
