This is a great resource, recommended to me - an older fiancee - by a young wife at church. 3 of my friends have since gotten married and this has been their present from us. What's true is that nagging doesn't work as O'martian states and as we all know until we look back and realize that we've been doing it. A few things are significantly useful alongside this resource: 1) my relationship with my fiance is so important I went on a silent retreat to fast and pray for a few days. It was great to deeply connect with God away from life's busyness - I've refound my first love. 2) I came across a book which is perfect to be read alongside this one "Boundaries in Marriage) by Cloud and Townsend. Think O'martian's first chapter on prayer for God to change yourself, the wife, times a zillion. Very practical biblical truthful insight and tools showing how we can unwittingly sabotage our relationships - and overcome this through setting brave boundaries to protect love. These two books together will humble and grow you -if you're ready.

This audio book has really blessed me in so many ways, I can't recount all in this review, so also some of my friends that has traveled in the car with me can testify to this that the audio is in deed a blessing, some of them said they would get an audio copy even though they already have paper copy. May GOD bless your family more and more Mrs Stormie Omartian. Please if possible can you make 'Power of a praying parent and husband' available in audio as well, especially for a busy parent like me. It can also be given as a gift to those that are not really sit down and read people. This audio has opened my eyes to many needless pain I have suffered. Now I use the method of 'shot up and pray a lot' and it is working for me. Once again thank you GOD bless you Ma for a job well done.

There are many helpful points from this book and I love the prayers. However some personal opinions are mixed with God’s words. Therefore I do recommend reading the book Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend in addition to help with discerning what is truly healthy and godly.

Really good book, l really feel that this book has really taught me things l did not know much about marriage. I did not have parents nor family when l got married and so did not know certain things and mostly spent most time argui g with my husband but since reading this book l feel my prayer life is better than before. I never used to pray that much and used to think surely prayer would not make much differences but you will be shocked how much it changes you as a person and your husband and family. I recommend this book to anyone who is single and do not have that parental guidance or who need guidance before getting into marriage this is a good book to read saves you a lot of unnecessary arguments about unnecessary things. I once thought my husband does not love me and with this l was on the brink of just separating until glory to God He is starting to make things new for us ever since l learnt just how powerful prayer is and just how amazing God really is, l can not change him but God can a d He changed me slowly and my husband sees the changes. I have not finished the book mind but prayer does work. Thank you for this brilliant book

I bought this book to help me focus outward and pray over my husband. Tell us to get through the tough times when he and I are not so loveable. I love what it says on the back… “ Worrying about your marriage changes nothing… Praying about it can change everything.” If you want to strengthen your marriage, Get better of praying, and Focussing on Christ. This is the book for you!

This book is very inspiring and gave me so much hope for the future. I was living alone at the time when I desperately needed to know how "to fix" my husband. I had spoken to him about his problems but he was still in denial. He told me he must be honest and say that he has stopped his ways just for my sake. This really upset me but this book was a "life saver". This book gave me hope and told me where to start "the fight"!
