Great lock, extremely easy to use and strong.
It has a high build quality and is very sturdy. The lock is not finicky, it’s smooth and easy to lock and unlock. It is a deterrent and has protected my bikes on busy streets. It’s not too heavy and long enough to fit around even large bikes.

BEST BIKE LOCK
I've been using this for my hybrid bike basically leaving it for about a few hours at a time for college. The lock is pretty beefy and is in fact beefier than some of the bike racks I've used. It is pretty thick and is reasonably lightweight for the protection it provides. It is even recommended by well renowned lock pickers on Youtube, such as Lockpickinglawyer, as it has a very secure locking mechanism. The shackle's rectangular design makes it hard for boltcutters to hold onto. I also chose this lock because it seems to withstand a lot of force before you can break it with a jack. I use this lock alongside a cable to secure the front wheels and a rotor brake lock. Sometimes I even use another U lock with it if I'm going to leave it for longer. The USH bracket has been really helpful in carrying it around especially if you don't want to carry it on a backpack as I do because it hurts my back after a while. So far, I haven't found any cons to using this lock. Keep in mind that locks are only a deterrent. A determined bike thief would get through any lock. Although it is not on the affordable price bracket for locks, it is surely a worthy investment if you want to keep your bike.

Good quality lock that's not too heavy. Works with Eazy KF.
NB: This comes with the USH bracket, rather than the smaller, slicker and more convenient Eazy KF bracket. To use the Eazy KF bracket, you'll need to order "Abus 9210 Shackle Clamp" and Eazy KF bracket. To fit the clamp onto the lock, trim away some of the rubber coating on the U shackle. The Eazy KF bracket allows you to clip the lock onto the frame and press a button to release, whereas the USH bracket requires you to unlock the lock to remove. The lock seems solid and the mechanism works well. This is the shorter 230mm version, a longer 300mm version is also available. You do need to turn the key to lock rather than the D section clipping in. Lightweight for the security rating which is Art Level 3 and Sold Secure Gold. At around 1.5kgs it is half a kilo less than the Kryptonite equivalent. One star off for value for money. At £70 it is expensive, but if your bike is worth it, you can't get much better for the weight. Please press the 'Helpful' button if this review is useful for you!

Sold Secure Gold and very sturdy
Having bought a new Carbon Fibre road bike and insured it, I needed to have a Gold standard bike lock for when I park it. I looked at a selection of these and eventually settled on the Granit-X plus. Fitting it is very simple, the lock is very sturdy and the key fits smoothly and very positively. The lock bar goes close tot he bike Fram after looking it to a secure bike stand and I do couple the lock with a cable through the front wheel to prevent that being stolen as well. I do like the light that is included in one of th keys, this is a great help when unlocking the bike from the security staple in my shed and I can see this would be great at night as well. Overall I'm happy with this lock. I don't know if it will protect my bike; if a thief is determined nought they will get what they're after but hopefully seeing this one being used will make then look to the next bike in the line.

Very solid lock
This is a solid piece of kit! A thief would have to be seriously tooled up to defeat this lock. The bar shape means that it will not rotate if cut, so the thief would have to make two cuts. I suspect they would move on to easier pickings. The lock comes with good fixings to attach it to your bike. As you would expect for a very secure lock, it is quite heavy, but lighter than others in it's class due to the bar design. The key has a LED light, which is a nice touch, but the keys are quite large to have in your pocket. The price you pay for security I guess. There is a plastic card with the key serial number on it. I suggest you photograph it onto cloud storage in case a replacement is needed further down the line. ABUS will supply additional locks for your key as well, which is useful.

Good product - terrible customer support from Manufacturer
The lock itself is well, locky, it locks, it unlocks, everything fine there. However for some reason, despite the instructions saying EN (English) DE (German) FR (French) etc etc etc, pretty much everything is written in German under the respective English / French sections. Now I probably don't need to read this, however what has really got my goat, was the response when I thought I'd let Abus know, clearly a publishing error here. No 'thanks so much for letting us know', instead someone called Cheryl from an outsourced support organization called Zyrofisher replies back "pop back to the store and they will help you"... I reply back to say "hey, I'm trying to tell you about a publishing error" "sorry we are really busy, we might reply in 10 days" auto reply. Yeah, rubbish 'we dont care' customer service! So get the lock if you want a lock, if you ever have problems with it, or can't quite figure out the ridiculous not 'easy like Ikea' pictures, then forget it.

Climaxe

I saved $140 Exactly as advertised The only drawback is that it is heavy and the frame mount for holding the lock when riding is impractical. Therefore I carry the lock in my backpack. But it is a formidable lock that will keep your bike safe in most places. It is also long enough to pass through the front wheel and frame if you want to secure the front wheel as well. I'm very happy with my choice.

- Pesado.
