The product itself is good - very loud (hope our neighbours won't hate us!) and we can hear the doorbell on the ground floor at the bottom of the stairs from even up in the lift conversion.It lost a star for not being clearer about the installation process. I had to clarify some aspects of it on YouTube, watching a non company tutorial, which shouldn't be necessary.It's very important when syncing the doorbell that it's pressed IMMEDIATELY after you hear the prompt. Not just "afterwards" as the manual says, but within a second. Because we didn't realise that, we had already stuck the doorbell up outside and couldn't remove it to hold next to the plug in receivers - this made the job a lot more difficult, because we'd assumed we'd have the same sort of "20 seconds" time frame to sync as with many wireless routers, printers etc.Great product, but be aware that you should sync it up before setting the doorbell up outside, and be aware of needing to press it instantly.

Ok first my dislike - the inane tunes are like the annoying tunes on Christmas chimes which really irritate, however there are a few standard door chimes so at least it doesn't sound cheesy when it rings. Moan over.The good things are that there really is no battery in the bell push which is actuated be the action of the button being pressed and it works every time. Also the receiving units plug into the mains and have both sound and light so can be used by people with hearing difficulties too.The main advantage to me is that I use one receiver in an outbuilding which is about 40 meters away from the bell push and the signal also travels through 4 brick & stone walls. This has worked every time, which I have never achieved previously.The volume can be set to 4 different levels from off to wake the neighbours, so if you are in the garden you stand a good chance of hearing the bell, especially if like myself you install one in an outbuilding at the other end of the garden.The units are slim and neat and aren't intrusive at all.The service has been terrific and I would recommend this system to anyone. The bonus is the incredible value.

Simple and easy to fit, all done in under 15 minutes. Lots of tunes to work through until you find the least annoying. The two sound units is a blessing for me living in a town house. I have one on the ground floor and the other at the top of the house. I like the battery- free doorbell, just fit and forget. It has been out in all weathers since fitted and has not had any problems. Customer services are good if a little too enthusiastic.All in all I would recommend this doorbell to anyone, especially if you do not want to do any electrical wiring.

I chose to stick the sticky double sided adhesive strip to stick the doorbell to my door. The doorbell also has a small plastic cover which you can take off and place a piece of paper saying whatever you like. I chose to write “No Cold Callers”.The instructions tell you how to pair the plugs to the doorbell but I didn’t need to as they were already paired when I plugged them in.The plugs have a choice of 58 door chimes to which I personally picked “The Slosh” due to my love for the programme Still Game. The plugs also have a choice of how you would like them to perform when the doorbell is pressed.Choices are:1: Audible alert2: Audible alert with light on3: Audible alert with flashing light4: Silent but the light flashingI had mine set to silent and thought I had somehow unpaired them until I read the instructions.The volume button gives you 4 different settings of how loud you would like them to play but none of these options are silent.I am really pleased with these for the ease of set up and how good they look.

In this day and age wires are becoming a thing of the past in many situations. One such is the humble doorbell. It was with this thought in mind that I started looking for a suitable bit of kit that would help make my visitors known to me wherever I was in my vast bungalow of two bedrooms. I ordered the item and, being a little bit intrigued as to how the door push would work without battery, awaited its arrival. This was prompt - next day if memory serves me - and was duly installed. I chose to use the adhesive tape provided for this purpose, and nothing short of an atom bomb will shift it now. I paired up the chime units, and then discovered that there was a bit of overkill with regard to the number of chimes you could choose from. All I wanted was a 'ding dong' and fortunately this was almost first on the list of those available. I could have chosen from Chopin, Beethoven and a whole host of others (!?) but 'ding dong' served me well. One receiver is at the front of the house, the other at the back. Both pick up the signal with no difficulty whatsoever. Happy days. No escaping the cold callers now, short of boiling oil from an upstairs window. Which in my case is difficult as I've already admitted to living in a bungalow.
