Queerful Widget (1920)

This was one of my favorite childhood books -- I inherited it from my mother's brother -- and I love occasionally giving it a rereading. My granddaughter turned nine back in the spring, and I was glad to find this facsimile edition. I taped a color copy of the original cover (see above) to its front cover and sent it off to New Mexico, where she lives. Held my breath. And was rewarded with her loving it!
