Great Value American Pen
I like to use American pens as an alternative to the typically black German and Japanese pens and chose this primarily for the design. This is typical of American pens such as Conklin, Bexley and Edison which all have very colourful patterns. What I like about the Prima is that it doesn't have the weight associated with them and the pen can be used with the lid posted. The nib is typically American, being firm steel, but it doesn't feel scratchy and offers some flex. All in, a good value pen with a converter included (not shown in the listing) and currently £12 cheaper than the traditional pen stores.

Classic pen
Nicely finished pen. Initially the nib felt a bit scratchy but after some use and slight adjustment it has turned into a lovely writer. The colours are fantastic, a very good looking pen.

Looks can be deceiving
Bought it on the basis of looks and affordability. As previously mentioned the pen is scratchy and if left uncapped for any time the pen dries out! After owning it for a couple of years during which time it was lightly used I was disappointed when patch of lacquer on pen grip flaked off.Contacted Monteverde and was informed that this was a known problem and I would need to ship the pen to the US to get it resolved!I suppose the moral of the story is you get what you paid for.
