Classic Black Licorice Beans Candy, 7.05oz, 1Pk

I grew up eating Good & Plenty - but I have found something better!! These Licorice Beans are fantastic! I just love them! The candy coating isn't overly heavy but gives a little bit of crunch. Licorice flavor is mild, not overly powerful. Just heaven in a bag. I wish the price through Amazon wasn't so expensive - but I have a hard time finding them elsewhere, so here I am, buying more!

This Wiley Wallaby Classic Black Licorice is the best I have ever tried. These are yummy. I had the taste for some black licorice the other day. So often, the licorice I buy at the grocery store is stale and hard. I wonder how long it sits there.So, I thought most items I buy at Amazon have been fresh. We'll, this bag of Wallaby Licorice was as fresh as could be. It was delicious. Very similar to Good-N-Plenty, but not as sweet. Like I said, these were delicious. They were fresh and soft. Just the right amount of hard sugar coating. I'd buy these again.....and I don't even have to go to the store to pick them up!!

These are great! If you like Good &Plenty candies you want to try these . They are very similar but softer with great flavor.

The Good & Plenty manufacturing process has recently changed so that each piece of that candy is shorter and stubbier now. The taste seems the same to me, but the proportion of candy to licorice in each piece is different, changing the overall taste profile. I was frustrated enough by that that I wanted to start looking to see if any other similar candy is better.I like the taste of the Wiley Wallaby black licorice, so I thought these might be a good substitute. They’re not. The licorice is definitely good, but the candy shell isn’t the slightly crisp slightly crunchy texture I expect, but a softer grainier texture. The taste of the shell by itself is just unpleasant as well.The most off putting thing is the appearance. The colors are all off, and appear uneven throughout the shell. The shape is this weird sort of lumpy as well. They DO NOT look anything like the picture on the package.
