Is this good for backpacking?

It is perfect some summer backpacking. I cant believe how small it can be stuffed and compressed. Lightweight, but good weight for warmth in the summer when wanted. I brought along a liner for early/late summer trips for extra warmth just in case, but I think if I was in the bag I never used the liner.

How do you get it back in the bag? I tested it and now can't get back in.

You just have to fold it length wise a couple of times then roll it up tight. Once you have most of it in the bag just push the rest in. It won't go back in as pretty as when you got it but it doesn't have to. The tighter it is in there the easier it is to pack in with your things.

The pictures indicate cotton fill and cotton lining, the description says polyester fill, polyester lining. Which is it?

does it retain heat when it is wet since it has cotton fill?

It doesn’t retain much heat dry. This is an extremely lightweight sleeping bag. Don’t use it in rough conditions.
