I’ve got a Holystone HS510 a few years ago but I bought this drone specifically for an upcoming trip to the Norway. I figured at £38! If it flew off in to a fjord I wouldn’t be that upset. The truth is it has exceeded my expectations. You don’t ‘need’ the controller to fly it you can just use your phone (although I wouldn’t recommend it). It works well with both android and iOS and it can just slip it into your trouser pocket. 3 batteries means a good flight time. The stills are pretty good and usable, video is a bit jerky but given the size is still good. I wasn’t sure whether to give it 4 or 5 stars. There are issues. It would be nice to have micro SD slot as this may have improved the quality of pictures and video and I can’t imagine would increase the cost or weight a great deal. The phone holder on the controller doesn’t quite fit a an iPhone 14 pro max with a slim case on it (take the case off and it just about does). But I keep coming back to the price, there was a discount and then a voucher but even if it was a more expensive its still good value. Easy to fly, it’s a perfect first drone to learn with at a cost that almost makes it disposable if the worst happens and you’ll probably soon be upgrading and seeing what other drones HolyStone have. I’ve put a pair of glasses in the photo so you can see the size.

Very easy to use and great fun. It does struggle outdoors with any breeze, but it is still flyable, it will get blown around with the wind and you have to counter this. Connection to your phone is simply done by the drones wifi. The camera is 1080 with 15 fps so not brilliant with motion but a great addition at this price point. It is tougher than it looks, it just bounces roofs, walls and blinds. If you're not sure about getting a drone, get this one to try.

Having already bought the bigger HS720E drone I realised as a learner that something smaller was called for to practice with, even indoors when taking out the larger one to somewhere suitable wouldn’t be possible. This little pocket-sized one does the job perfectly with its easy start-up and one-touch control for take-off and landing. It has a tiltable camera that produces good photos and flying time of around 10 minutes from each of the three included batteries. In practice that’s longer than it sounds but with two more fully charged available as back-up longer sessions are always possible. Trimming seemed a bit tricky. It must be worked on though for best control in flight if you want to make progress and not be frustrated! Even outdoors in a slight breeze it can still be controlled but be sure to allow plenty of clear space because it can go off course and end up where you don’t want it. I’d say this was a good choice for a novice like me. It’s well under the weight limit for the CAA flyer test and it should give any newcomer an encouraging taste for the hobby.

Nice little drone but out of the blue one of the motors ceased to work. Clearly it no longer flies now with just 3 and has become a paperweight.

This is really good once u get the hang of it. If it goes too high you can loose Contact and it can fall anywhere. It’s good for the price! It has a good camera and good for a first drone for a teenager!

This is proving to be a good first drone to learn with and would probably be fun for a more experienced flyer. I've only been playing with it for a hour or two so these are first impressions. Three batteries give you about 11 or 12 minutes each. By the time you've used all three you have plenty time to get accustomed to the way it flies and how to keep control. It is very sensitive to wind outdoors. Good practice for controlling it in a light breeze. Any more and it is impossible to fly. I expected this after watching YouTube reviews and not surprising given it is so small and light. If you fly it indoors make sure you have plenty space as you can't be sure which way it will move until you have trimmed it properly. Camera is good for stills (example attached). Videos seem a bit jerky. At this price point it's more than acceptable though. Overall a good purchase which will let me find out if I want to go ahead and invest in a more expensive one.

This was my first drone, I've had RC heli's before. After a lot of investigating I found this drone the best value for money for a starter drone. Good for adults as well as children. It was easy to setup and the manual is well written. No problems setting it up and having my first flight. It comes with 3 batteries and has a long flight time. I also ordered seperately the battery charging hub that lets you charge all 3 batteries at once. It can also do flips in all four directions. It comes with rotar guards that are definitely worth putting on to stop you breaking the rotars while you get used to it. The controller is good to use and works perfectly. You also get spare rotars and a screw driver. You get a lot for your money too.

I already own the bigger and much more expensive brother of this Holystone drone (which is very good) and wanted a smaller drone i could fit in my rucksack. First thing to say it's not the easiest drone to fly so if you are a beginner i'd suggest buying a slightly more expensive Holystone drone that has better gyro stability. The first drone i purchased had an issue and Holystone's customer service is second to none. They bent over backwards to help resolve the issue and resolved it quickly which was really appreciated. In terms of set up both the drone and connection to your smartphone is easy and straightforward. Build quality is also very good and you do get some spare propellors just in case you crash and bend one. To summarise, it's a compact, robust drone that would probably suit a more experienced drone user than a newbie.

Creo que es el mejor en cuanto a relación calidad/precio. El hecho de tener 3 baterías es bastante útil para poder volar el dron al menos 30 minutos. Lo que no me ha gustado es que la trasmisión de video al smartphone es muy lenta. Solo he podido volarlo viendo el dron directamente.
