Water Butt Replacement Tap

Exactly as described, easy to fit, value for money

Bought this on the back of some recommendations and I'm extremely happy with it.It comes with washers and the nut fits nice and tight inside the water butt. Took a couple of mins to install and hey presto.I've tested it thoroughly by filling the water butt and there isn't a single drop of water leaking out of it.Definitely recommend this.

Cheap and cheerful,arrived on time

A robust well-made tap. Drilled pilot holes in butts, filed out to 25mm diameter. Used silicone grease on thread and outside-mounted washer. Getting inside butts excluded all light, so essential assistant had to remove tap briefly to show where to fix the nut. Hand tight is sufficient, no spanner needed. Fairy liquid and Jubilee clips secure connecting hose. Works well, no leaks.

What more can you say than does the job. Good sized rubber washer, reasonable flow rate once fitted. Half the price of my local DIY store and it's free delivery. Just a shame we have to have rain to fill the butt up which at the moment doesn't seem to be a problem. Would recommend this to all and would certainly buy one again. Only given 4 stars as it's a tap not a box of chocolates.. love chocolates!

Well made with firm action; comes with nut and thick rubber washer; I was unsure whether to put the washer inside the butt under the nut or outside under the tap body but found the nut distorted the washer when tightened so put it outside under the tap body. My wife held the tap in position while I crawled into the butt (lying on it's side) and applied the nut tightening it gently with a 20mm spanner so that the tap would not rotate and there was no distortion of the washer. I used a little silicone grease on the washer and threads, car grease rots rubber. Tap arrived the day after purchase
