Embarassingly over priced but of good quality.
These are easy to use and works. You get about $3.00, if even that, worth of equiptmentt. I purchase them for for the information that they advertised and convience. They came with a advertisement card with little information, nothing too useful. The plastic used is of good quality and can take light tapping of a hammer. It is an embarassing and wasteful purchase for me as I paid waaay to much. But they work, good quality and I was in a hurry.

Excellent Investment
Dead simple to use, very effective. Had my tree (30" dia. sugar maple) tapped in two spots in about five minutes. I cut little holes in ziploc bags, stuck the tubes through, and taped them in place for easy plastic shrouds for the collection bottle mouths.Spiles came back out with pliers and a bit of twisting and wiggling at the end of the season. Cleaning them is a little annoying since they're so narrow, but that's to be expected. Looking forward to next winter's tapping already.

Awesome!
OMG it was so much fun collecting sap! This was easy to use and we were able to drill a hole into the tree the right size as the taps, etc. Super simple and super inexpensive; you don't need the fancy metal clips with the metal buckets. This method is much more practical. This was our first year collecting sap, and I didn't want to make a huge investment in case it was terrible. Now that we've done it, I realize the metal buckets/fancy equipment are just for show. We reused tea jugs to collect the sap over about a weekend, leaning the jugs against the bottom of the tree. Once you are done, you just plug the whole with a stick to keep the tree from "bleeding out." This might be common sense, but make sure you rinse them tap and hose out with hot water once the season is done to prevent the tap from being crusty with sap.

I'm happy with this kit--I like it's affordability
I'm happy with this kit--I like it's affordability, food-grade materials, smaller size "tree-saver" spile, and good customer service. This is my second year using it to tap my large maple tree-17 gallons of sap last year from two taps! This year I attached the tubing to the tap before going outside; the thick plastic tubing is easier to fit on to the taps when it is warm and, therefore, more flexible. Used a 5/16" drill bit to drill a hole approx. 1.5 inch deep (angled slightly uphill). Some of the stem of the tap remains outside of the tree. This year I'm trying hanging plastic milk cartons from the tap with a piece of stiff wire--though this will mean collecting it often since I don't want a lot of weight dragging down on the tap.. Also am aiming to not store the sap but instead bring it in and immediately boil it down to near-syrup stage; store that in the frig and then have a final boil down.

First time syrup!
Inspired by a local camp, and our thought that this would be easy, we decided to tap our two maples. This kit was fantastic. We hooked it up to empty gallon milk containers through a hole in the lid, and it has worked beautifully. We have enjoyed our first syrup. This kit literally gave us the confidence to do it- everything we needed was right there so we had no excuse! Super happy with our first year - and sap is still flowing (and some reducing on the stove) as I write this. Very happy, great seller, great product. It even held up in a massive, windy storm when we thought it was for sure going to get broken!!! Nope...we'd already tied the containers off, and the tap and tubing was as good as new!

good product. worked as it was suppose to
good product. worked as it was suppose to. But way to expensive for what one gets. Should have been at least 5 taps for the price . I had looked at other sites that offered 5 and thought this was one of them. On the other hand, the tapping worked and the little syrup I got was wonderful.

Fine but could use a couple tweeks.
The equipment itself works fine.A couple things kept me from giving a 5-star recommendation:1. the blue tubing doesn't fit completely over the sap nozzle; I could only get the tubing over the first of three humps.2. the directions say to use a 5/16" drill for the hole in the tree. But that turns out to be too small to push the nozzle completely into the sap hole. I'm betting an 11/32" hole would work better.
