Banshee

I have been astonished at how great this cd is after hearing a snippet of the title track Banshee I had no hesitation to order the cd and throughout the 11 tracks its high quality from beginning to end. The songs are all beautifully constructed, written and played. She has a very warm voice which she adds her harmonies to great effect, she does not overstretch her voice and absolutely no warbling (thankfully). Featuring a really great band to create a full yet real sound, not over produced, harking back to a sixties groove... its a joy.Waiting, Pow, Concrete Waves, Today, How you want it and Banshee are standouts, that only leaves 5 other great tracks.Been my surprise cd find of the year.

Banshee [VINYL]Initially heard this Artist on the closing credits of US TV Drama Ray Donovan a few years ago, at the time it wasn't around on CD or download easily in the UK, it was well worth the wait as its a truely great Album, in my opinion up there with Amy Winehouse's Frank or Back to Black.Stand out tracks for me are Pow, Concrete Waves, Right Now and Best by far Banchee (used On Ray Donovan)How pleased was I to see that when I finally decided to get back to basics and start listening to vinyl Once again that this Album was available.This album sounds fantastic on vinyl as its a heavy weight 180g double album rather than the thin flexible things produced in the 80s and 90s which drove everybody to CD. as a result the Base and Kendra's Vocals Cut through Clean full and loud as they should, I love Spotify, Apple or Google play music streaming, i use it all the time in the car and out and about, but its a really compressed sound and after a few years of listening to MP3's and streaming audio i'd forgot how much of the song you miss, Coupled with the great sound you also get a nice gatefold sleeve which is a joy to hold, and printed lyrics on the vinyl inlays.

I heard the title track banshee, on SkY Tv's Ray Donovan, and tracked down this CD.I have now bought her first CD too.Vocals are amazing, great selection of tracks.If you like Amy Winehouse, Dionne Bromfield....then you should treat yourself to a copy of this.

I was watching an episode Ray Donovan and used Shazam to find out what a track was. It was a track I could not get out of my head so I decided to buy the album. Very satisfied and glad I did. A great addition to my music collection.

This album is pure quality. Those of you who liked Amy Winehouse will hear a similar but original sound style at times but with an Atlantic twist.. one play and I was hooked. It spent a long time on repeat in my car. 10/10

This album deserves all 5 stars it's a pleasure to listen too & her vocals and lyrics are superb.... Try it then buy it I'm sure you won't be disappointed
