No better than any other ballpoint refill, disappointing colour
I'm a fountain pen user but it's always handy to have a couple of ballpoints around for things that require permanent ink or for writing on rubbish paper. I bought this to try out in a Parker Jotter and was pretty disappointed. There's nothing wrong with it, per se, but it's bland. It's certainly not blue-black, as advertised, and it seems to drag a little across the page.I'm normally a fan of Monteverde products; their Capless Ceramic Gel refills for Parker ballpoints are superb and come in a range of colours that put Parker to shame. Sadly, this did not meet my high expectations based on prior experience.

Actually Purple!!!!
I have finally found a Parker pen refill that is actually a true purple.I have tried others but they have all been blue not purple, this is a true purple. The medium nib gives a good ink flow, and it isn't scratchy. I am so happy.I wish the price was a little more budget friendly but as long as it lasts as long as other refills I can justify it.Thank you Monteverde for making this lady's heart happy.

Nearly okay. But not quite.
Not as good as I had hoped for.The brown ink is very dark, and closer to black, which is a shame. The 'nib' is nowhere near as nice to write with as proper Parker refills, and reacts very differently to mild variations in pressure, it also feels a little scratchy, particularly at increasing angles, whilst writing.2.5 stars from me -> updated to 3.UPDATE - I've been using this for a while now and the writing action has settled down and seems okay and less scratchy. If only the colour was less black and more brown then it'd get 5 stars.

Gives New Meaning to the Colour Orange
The people at Monteverde must be colour blind if they think this is orange. While the refill bears the orange colour at the backend of the refill like all parker jotter refills do, what flows out of the pen bears no resemblance to orange. It is a light red. Clearly Monteverde are a little confused as to what is important about a pen refill. Someone needs to remind them that pens are to write with. Stay well clear of this junk if you are looking for the colour orange. Monteverde does not provide this in their colour palette.

Affordably priced and perform extremely well
Not a first-time purchase as black and blue ones for Parker and a couple of other brands were previously purchased for the relevant pens. While considerably less expensive than the respective original products, colour and performance are comparable and functionality of their respective mechanisms for extension and retraction continued to function to the original level. Monteverde is a respected European/US brand whose writing implements are especially well-regarded. As, in this instance, a single Parker refill will cost more than two from Monteverde it may be a no-brainer for those who don't wish to use the branded originals. There is a small blob of wax or plastic over the ball-tip which is easily removed and essential before first use.Monteverde also produce excellent fountain pens, a couple of different models being owned and used, as are some of their fountain pen inks. As with this refill pack, they produce similar ones for rollerballs and other writing systems. Pricing is always reasonable.

Nice colour but not much of it
I wanted a different colour for notetaking and signing things off, so that it was clear when I made amendments. The First refill ran out in 2 days, it wasn't particularly a busy time, either. The second refill has lasted for almost a week, so I think the quality control probably needs looking at. Normal blue, Black or red refills last a couple of weeks. The ink itself is lovely and writes very smoothly, with good covering, and great colour! On the whole, though not s great value item.

It leaked, and gummed up my Parker Jotter pen
I used a Monteverde orange refill in a Parker Jotter pen six months - August'21 to February'22 and began to notice that the button was sticking on the pen, as if there was some pocket fluff stuck in the pen.I opened it up to take out the fluff...and found the refill to have leaked, all over the inside of the cap. The mechanism is gummed up with viscous dark orange ink.Having tried to clean the inside of the lid, I'm not sure it'll ever be the same again: great shame because while the pen itself is easily replaceable and not expensive, it is of sentimental value, having been a gift from someone. Arriving as a twinpack, I'm obviously not now prepared to use the second refill in either a replacement pen, or this one if I manage to clean it with enough white spirits.

Satisfaction Achieved
Been looking for this item for months, only came across it on Amazon when I was looking for something else. Ordinary ball point pens are good for every day use, but these are wanted for a job which is "just that bit special" Very please and happy with both the product and the delivery.
