easy to assemble, works good, a little converter device help me enjoy my DVD's again, a little dark at time, and the picture is not as sharp, but it's still good for the price.

When it comes to older consoles there are all sorts of ways to retrofit them for modern flat panel displays. These Wii adapters have been around for a while and they all look the same and somewhat perform the same. Where they differ is quality of hardware. Portholic has been around for a while and they are the ones that I trust the most. Setup is simple. You just plug it into the back. Boot it up. Set it to 480p and widescreen and that's it. It cleans up the image alot with no hassle. These also have a pretty long life span. I have used 6 of these throughout the years and given them as gifts and out of those 6, 5 are still functional multiple years later. That's not something that you see too often. Aside from that there's nothing else to say. They work, they're high quality. That's about it.

I was gifted a new television, a couple of years ago, but my DVD player still works just fine. Unfortunately, I needed something to connect the DVD to my new TV. This did the trick. It didn’t take too long to set up, and it works perfectly. It does require a power cord, but that’s OK. I’m just happy that my DVD player is back up and running. Sure, one day I’ll buy a new DVD player, but why ditch the one that’s worked so well for 20 years? Let me keep using it without a problem.

Changed my review!!!!! My first purchase of this item, was so disappointed that it would only work a few minutes then lose connection entirely, the only way to regain connection was to unplug, replug several times, wiggle wires etc. The Replacement, opening of box, was used and clearly a returned item. ONLY because I already had the vcr out and was set to watch some old family movies vhs did I try it anyways. IT WORKED GREAT!!! was able to watch the entire VHS with no issues!!! Believe first purchase had a defective wiring internally, and unsure why my replacement order was a return or why someone returned it, I'm sure glad that's the one I got because it works exactly as advertised!!!

This HDMI converter was able to work for my PS1, but it did not work for my Nintendo 64.

Works perfectly so instead of not having the cord colors available to plug in. This plugs right into the hdmi done easy.

Now I got the new tiny gadget to activate my old VCRs to my new TV. It took me awhile to figure it out about the TV stuff and the page showing the HDMI to click, but I got it. With tax from Amazon.ca it cost me $26.44. One thing, during a long VCH video, the TV shut down. Interesting! So I stopped the VCR then later on I turned on the TV choosing the HDMI, I then continued with the VCR. You can choose anything on this list to use this converter. It works! Was able to hook up PS2 to LCD TV. And even better, was able to hook up miniDV camcorder, from before phones with cameras, and watch some priceless tapes that I haven't seen for a long time. What a different world! Easy to use and price was good. If you need one you will appreciate it.
