Anevay The Frontier PLUS Stove. Next Generation Portable Log Burning Stove

Since getting the Frontier Plus last year we put it on the patio and it has become a magnet for the family - everything from fry-ups on Sunday mornings and hot-dogs in the evenings. Even just making it pleasant to sit outside after the sun goes down, it lengthens the evenings and gets us all outside more. We had a Frontier before, which was good, but this is slightly bigger with a bigger flue (better draw), the glass window and vents are better, and it overall feels much more robust. I wouldn't touch a knock-off from any other company - Anevay invented this thing (originally for disaster relief), and it is a real shame that they aren't big enough to sue all the people who are making tinny versions of it, don't care about quality and are making a killing by ripping off the original design.

Superbly engineered and built, however it has to be realised that like its predecessor, its designed for portability - which means there are compromises within its design.Anevay, who manufacture this stove, say it has a 4 inch flue. THIS IS NOT SO!! The flue system that’s provided with this stove is smaller, therefore the stove can not be used or utilised with any standard 100mm or 4 inch flue.The flues that are provided are designed to slide inside each other, thus creating 3 pairs that can be stowed inside the furnace compartment. Beware to protect the stove glass door from the flues stowed inside - they slide around and can break the glass.The stove also rusts like hell! Never leave it outside overnight and you need to spray and coat the stove with a WD40 type oil to preserve it when packing it away.Try not to burn any damp or green wood - the flues quickly become covered in tar and the mesh of the spark arrester soon becomes chocked. A 4 inch wire tube brush would be handy.Still no water heater for this stove and I doubt Anevay are even interested or bothered to offer one which is very frustrating.
