Great tracksaw! Hopefully no future battery problems, like previous Dewalt versions.
A little backstory: I purchased PDCS520B to replace an earlier version of Dewalt's 28v cordless tracksaw. The Dewalt 28v version was discontinued, and the batteries are no longer available. There is/was, in my experience (and if you do an internet search you will find others had the same problem experience), a problem with the batteries losing their charge, and once the battery cells dropped below a certain voltage, they could no longer be charged AT ALL! The 28v came with 2 batteries, but reached a point of low voltage, to which they couldn't be charged any longer. So I purchased a 3rd 28v battery online, new in original packaging, at the major online auction site. Unfortunately, this battery too could not be charged. So another $100 down the drain. So, instead of purchasing additional batteries, in a futile attempt to save the 28v saw, I decided to purchase this 60v flex volt cordless tracksaw. The DCS520B functions perfectly, cuts smoothly without slowing down, ramps up to speed quickly, and blade brake stops the blade quickly.I am very satisfied with this version. I just hope there aren't any battery issues with the flex volt platform. If there are future problems, I just hope Dewalt will stand behind their product, instead of abandoning the flex volt platform, and leaving their customers in the lurch. How does the old age go? 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.'I will guarantee I will not purchase a 3rd Dewalt saw.FWIW, I had searched in hopes that Milwaukee offered a cordless tracksaw in their M18 platform, but unfortunately A Milwaukee only offers a cordless tracksaw for sale in Europe, but not the United States.Milwaukee has kept their M18v platform around for decades. They could have changed platforms, like Dewalt, and forced their customers to buy all new tools, but Milwaukee did not. Instead, Milwaukee developed new tools around the same M18v battery platform, AND milwaukee still supports their previous tools/platforms, and does not abandon their loyal customers.Milwaukee, PLEASE OFFER YOUR CORDLESS TRACKSAW TO YOUR U.S. customers. (caps for emphasis, not yelling :) )I purchased the Dewalt DCS520B from Albany Tools here on Amazon. They were great, shipped quickly. Excellent packaging. And arrived on time.Thank you!

Fast, accurate and powerful.
This track saw has saved us plenty time trimming doors, making table tops, heavy duty shelves in our vaults, making crates and even cutting beveled edges on Polystyrene boards for filling voids.I would have preferred more of a micrometer style setting for depth and angle, but once it has been setup, it is able to deliver accurate, consistent results, with plenty power to spare for long, maximum thickness cuts.

The TrackSaw can handle pressure treated 2x4's with ease.
I've been using this saw in a non traditional way to cut tapers in 2x material. Combined with the track it does the job without straining. It has made my work much more accurate.

Cuts like a circular saw through butter.
I bought this somewhat on a whim and now am in love with it. I have the Dewalt 120v compound sliding miter saw which I love and bought because I was tired of tripping on cords constantly strewn around and having to switch cords back and forth due to limited breakers and outlets. Since I now already had the batteries and occasionally make cuts with a circular saw and a straight edge rather than my table saw figured this could eliminate getting out one more cord. I loved it so much that I now have a dedicated cutting table for using this saw. I use it on almost every project now. Sure it’s not as repeatable as a table saw so I still do final cuts on cabinet sides with the table saw so every one is identical width. But I still use it to knock down the panels so I don’t have to wrestle them across. Even with infeed, side and out feed tables wrestling a 4x8 sheet is not something I look forward too. Now I quickly zip them down to within 1/8 of final and then easily feed them through the table saw.On small projects I just use this saw since the dust collection is superb compared to my table saw. I can get every thing close enough that I can’t see any errors and if I do it’s nothing a few strokes of a a hand plane cant take care of.Tear out is almost zero. I meet the finish side down. There is very little tear out on the track side as well. But if I can I still keep that side hidden.

I would buy again
Love this saw. Wish they didn't put battery up top. It tips over if you leave it standing. But works great

Powerfull Saw & Easy to Use - Works on either Dewalt rail or Festool track rail
This saw is a versatile powerful saw. It is easy to adjust, and calibrate the saw. Saw has two track grooves. The center groove is used for Dewalt Track rails & Powertec - Dewalt track rail, the Powertec track I received could have had the splinter guard tape applied better, but its a decent track. The offset groove on the saw allows the Dewalt track saw to be used with a Festool track rail as well.Saw cannot be used with Makita track rails, because the saw will not sit 90 degress to surface, instead it sits about -1 or -2 degress, and the saw can not be adjusted to a negative degree.Saw not work with Kregg Track rails, because on Kregg rails the saw will hang past splinter guard about an inch

Dewalt 60v tracksaw
My saw is square right out of the box. I ripped a warped piece of walnut and mated some of the pieces together. It looked like it was one piece. When you first cut down the track you will cut the rip strip and that will be your cut line. Don't panic like I did. It's supposed to happen. The only thing I don't like is the price and it doesn'tcome with a track. I bought mine on prime day and I already have all dewalt tools so I was able to buy the bare tool and I bought the track separately. Good quality tools are expensive. I love mine

This is a powerful saw and works great.
I’ve not used this on hardwood just yet but I’ve cut up over 60 sheets of plywood last month and I was doing 2 sheets thick of hardwood maple 3/4 plywood. Never had a problem.
